The Core (2003)
where's Jerry Bruckhiemer when you need him?
I kind of was expecting this movie to be not so great considering the plot. But the cover of the dvd makes it look like Armageddon. The difference between that movie and the Core is that fact that Armageddon, even thought its about 20 minutes longer, is actually a good movie. As I was watching this I didnt know the running time but when I looked at the clock on my dvd player I realized that the credits started at 2 hours and 6 minutes. Thats 126 minutes of boring action, if you could even call it action. The most exciting part for me was watching the credits only for the cool name graphics, the decent song and the fact that i knew the movie was over. I dont know why Paramont didnt knock on Bruckhiemers door for this one. If J Bruckhiemer took this project on along with Michael Bay I can asure you that this movie would have been a whole lot different and a lot more exciting.
Daredevil (2003)
wasnt expecting much
Going into this I have heard from everyone that this movie is pretty bad except for one of my friends. But he doesnt count because he's a little bias. I was just hoping that there was some way that I might find this movie alright but as expected it really wasnt all that great. The character set up is horrible and this movie has some of the most insanely unrealistic scenes ever. Wait a minute, come to think of it, this movie was straight up bad! This is like the fifth straight bad movie that Ben Afleck has been in and i'm starting to lose faith in him. But i will take this movie any day over Pearl Harbor!
Biker Boyz (2003)
took a while to think about it.
when i saw this movie i thought that it was good but then i thought about it after a few days like i do with most movies and came to the conclusion that this really isnt that good at all. the cool thing is that there are alot of the names but the ending is kind of weak. the day is saw this towards the middle of the movie i was thinking that it was better then the fast and furious but now i realized thats a much better movie then this. SPOILER ALERT: the only thing that i'll give this movie is that unlike the fast and furious there was no cop element at all.
25th Hour (2002)
clever film making.
this is one of the best movies i've seen in a while. Edward Norton proves once again that he is one of the best actors out there today and the supporting cast is great too. i was very impressed with Barry Pepper and PHil hoffman is always great. rosario dawson is great to look at too. the ending is really good because i got fooled.
Angel Eyes (2001)
one of th worst! period!
this was just plain horrible. As i was watching this trash I was getting so bored because nothing was happening. I dont really think that this movie has much of a plot because the guy in the movie is kind of a front from what they portray his character to be in the commercials. Not to mention this has one of the worst endings in movie history! J-lo was already starting to fall off in my opinion at this point after the cell and the wedding planner but this put the icing on the cake! the funny thing is that i kind of think that this movie is better then "enough" but thats not saying much at all!
Batman Forever (1995)
decent.
i like this movie but there are alot of problems. first off the director totally screwed up this franchise because the cinematography is horrible. for god sake there's neon fire! and what kind of street gang dresses in neon face paint! i mean sure its a little scary but its sure as hell not intimidating! plus at times i think that the lighting crew were using strobe lights instead of regular light! the only thing that might do this movie some justice is the fact that Tim Burton produced this movie.
Risky Business (1983)
at the top of the teen flicks of the 80's
I think that this movie was great because it still had the rawness of the other teen flicks when it comes to the nudity and language but the thing but it made you think at the same time about life. The music is really good in this movie and it flows great with the use of shots. To me this is the best teen movie of the 80's with a really close second to the breakfast club.
