Severance (2022– )
Stupid

If you had the technology to implement this sort of manipulation, why would you isolate the inner. You only need to isolate the outer. If you have the tech to do this surely you wouldnt use it this way. Its a interesting idea but fully fleshed out it just doesnt stand up. Just give the inners a motivation and isolate the outers from the drudge.

Rodriguez Needs to go
9 February 2022
The story was sound. The execution, direction, sound, visual FX, storyboarding and cinematography were second rate.

Feloni, you need to man up and tell them to sort it out.

I mean King Kong? What the actual...

Disgraceful.

Bliss (I) (2021)

Watching this movie was both refreshing and challenging. I had no idea that the marketing had been so off target.

It is quite remarkable in its effort of painting the depths of addiction. Still, maybe its a condition you need to have first hand experience with in order to understand the narrative.

Hopefully time will repair its rating.

Editing
26 February 2021
Oh my god, this is the worst editing I seen in a long time. At no point does the movie stop and take a breath. It constantly cuts from shot to shot and never relents. Its like someone who has only ever made music videos edited this film.

Its near impossible to watch.

Such a shame as the premise is great.

A missed opportunity

Star Trek: Picard (2020–2023)
Are you kidding me? Just watch season 3.
31 January 2020
Update: Season 3 is really much better. In fact, just watch season three and skip the first two seasons.

Do any of these people giving this absolute rubbish a positive review have any idea about the premise of Star Trek!?

I am a fan of Star Trek TOS,TNG and to some extent the Rick Berman era of trek, but everthing about this series (2 episodes in) is a complete mystery to me.

Its as if the writers have not even looked at the history of the star trek universe, or maybe brushed quilckly over it and come up with earl grey tea and Picards endless friendship with Lt Cmdr Data, which is just not the case.

A stain on Roddenberry's vision.

Lost in Space (2018–2021)
Did they even watch the orginal?
3 January 2020
Gone is the witty, likeable antihero Dr Smith. Gone are the fast moving plots and episodes moving from planet to planet. Gone is the humour and heart.

Five out of ten for the production design, sound and vfx.

To the writers, the original was a hit for reason. The changes you have made take away all the ingredients of what was once a great show. Shame on you.

The Orville: Primal Urges (2019)
Season 2, Episode 2
Great Stuff

Please ignore the bigots. This episode is another great addition to the Space Opera genre we know and love. The only thing offensive I see around this episode is the reviews posted here.

Time Trap (2017)
Cannot Wait To See What These Guys Do Next
18 August 2018
Watched this based on the reviews here at IMDB and just wow. For the budget and resources they had at their disposal, this is outstanding. It's smart and it grows and grows into more than you would ever expect from a major Hollywood title never mind a small indie sci-fi film like this.

A great exploration of time dilation and the hard fact repercussions that could entail from such a scenario.

Performances, cinematography, soundtrack and direction are all more than satisfactory.

Cannot wait for their next project, well done folks.

Another great addition to the Star Wars universe
27 May 2018
This is a feel good Star Wars movie filling in some nice background story to three of our lifelong heroes: Han Solo, Chewie and The Millennium Falcon.

The acting is on par with the rest of the series as is the plot. It's not going to win any best picture Academy Awards but these films never do.

The VFX is first class, as always, and the production design is just awesome. Especially the early imperial trench warfare style stuff where you can see the early development of those weird stretched imperial helmets and goggles.

The score is excellent dropping from the original pieces to the Millennium Falcon signatures themes from Star Wars and Empire during the infamous Kessel Run.

Not sure what all the negative reviews are about, reading them I suspect they haven't even watched the picture. Don't be fooled by these erroneous comments this is a great 2hours 30mins.

Underrated at 6.1
29 September 2005
This is one of the best mainstream sci-fi movies I've seen in years. Great action, great story, great characters and good depth to the universe they occupy. I can't believe the average rating is not higher, perhaps it's the people struggling to differentiate between the fictional character and real world person they so obviously dislike, or maybe they just can't see the depth that this Pitch Black universe has to offer, shame. I think Mr Lucas could learn a thing or two from this movie after those three severely disappointing films he just made, not to mention the classics he modified (or is that kiddified??) Anyways, great work David and I can wait to see the next 2 films in the "Chronicles" trilogy if you ever decide to make them…. Lord Marshall Riddick's pilgrimage to the Underverse perhaps???

God awful.

Ok. more than 2 words.

What the hell were they thinking? I knew it was gonna be poor, but this is just taking the mick. I cannot believe people are actually enjoying this rubbish. It is a insult to have this drivel put next to Camerons hard work and attention to detail. You are all nuts. "Did IQ's just suddenly drop overnight?"
