Raging Fire (2021)

Predictable, common story line, but yet so good
22 August 2021
Very predictable story. Acting and scenes are really good from the main actors. This is one show that you probably might support the antagonist.

There are little parts that i didnt like, like it didnt seem to make sense how cruel can ex-policemen be...........They literally killed anyone who they didnt like........

Also if anyone seen the show The Sniper with Huang Xiaoming as the main actor. The story line is actually 80% the same.

Should have just been a Psycho Crime movie or sort
1 May 2021
It was a fairly good movie for me at least. But i think the show genre confused between horror and crime. There were bits and pieces of spiritual ghostly stuff which really i felt was better without them.

If it was a purely crime movie, with a proper ending it would have been much better.

Even that i already had some clue about the movie because of reading the reviews and watching trailer on youtube, it still left me guessing till the end.

Nice one!

Bad Samaritan (2018)
9/10
Bad Samaritan, somebody bad, doing a good heroic deed. Great show!~
6 May 2018
Bad Samaritan is a very interesting title. How can a samaritan be bad? Well this show says it all. 2 Thieves stumbled upon a very rich psychopath's home and found out dark chilling secrets about this psychopath. 1 of the thieves did what a samaritan should do, going all out to save the live he felt he had to save, putting his own life into danger.

The show first set in a very beautiful typical European scene (Scotland i think?), kinda puts you into the life of the main actor. A poor artist, having a pretty girlfriend, and doing "sideline". Working as a "valet" at night with his best buddy. The pace of the show was good, showing at least 1 failed attempt of their "sideline", before the encountering the psychopath. No rush of pace at all.

It also slowly puts the show into mystery and suspense, as they move into the psychopath's life. Audience will start to wonder, what kind of pscyhopath he is, how strong would he be, etc. What i like about this psychopath is, unlike some other psychopath's show where the psychopath seems to have extraordinary power. The psychopath in Bad Samaritan is just a very normal person, and does no miracles, which makes the show really realistic; like something that can happen in our lives. However he is very very rich, and some what intelligent. Of course he has a really disturbed mind.

I have always enjoyed such realistic psychopath show, always rooting for the victim to be able to escape successfully. And this show makes it unique that the person you will root for is a "bad" person in a way; a thief. Everything about this show is good, it reminds me of shows like Stepdad...where the guy is so smart in covering his tracks.

Probably the little downside about the show is that the ending came about a little mistake made by the psychopath, which is so totally unusual of him to make such mistake, causing his fall. Also if they could spend more time in sharing his past, to know more why he became like that. THey had only a short 3-5 mins chat about it, which isnt really clear enough.

All in all, definitely a good show to catch for ppl who loves psychopath shows. A few scare scenes only, couple of disturbing scenes as well, otherwise its more of suspense then horror in anyways.

Cheers! From your friendly neighbourhood, Movie Reviewer Del

Nick Cheung shot at an exorcism-type film
15 December 2015
This show was quite a disappointment for me, as i have high expectations for Nick Cheung's movies. It was not much of a exorcism horror show as many would expect, but more like a mix of horror and romance where the romantic parts became too draggy; This actually have been Nick Cheung's style in his directed films.

In this story line, the main bad guy's(devil) action (kills he made), were not really linked with any reason. There was little gruesomeness or action in the way he performed his kills , which makes the show boring. There was also little explanation for his overpowered status. I do not think anyone would understand the ending of the show

Despite being one of the best actor out there, Nick Cheung, will still have a lot to learn in directing. I will give it a 5 / 10 rating for the beautiful actresses that made up the show 's flaws. A decent movie, but do not expect the best out of this horror flick.

Too confusing; overdone it.
7 December 2015
IMO This show is not as good as the earlier series (The vanishing bullet).

The story line is too confusing, with too many characters having different plots. Each have their own motives but yet not clearly explained, making the audience difficult to focus.

End of day Inspector Songlu, did not really did some smart investigating like he did in the earlier version. Most of the events were revealed by the show, not by the inspector.

I could have mentioned so many parts that are meaningless or left unfounded for.

There seem to be focus on unnecessary action, dancing and music scenes, which is redundant to the core of this genre of show.
