Her (2013)
Her is a rip off from Twilight Zone!
Is it just me or doesn't anyone out there remember the amazing, never surpassed, remarkable Twilight Zone series from the 60's?. This movie is kind of a rip off of an episode where Wally Cox falls in love with his computer that has a female name. This movie stole, or maybe was so influenced by that 50 year old plus episode, that the main character even has Wally Cox's look, with the thick rimmed glasses and the mustache. I really could not believe the similarities, like the computer gets jealous and all the other emotions that were evident in that 20 some minute episode decades ago from the most underrated writer of our time, Rod Serling. Spike Jones, I hope will pay homage to this man because he really stole the whole idea from this episode sorry to say. Not an original idea here folks. And if I see another movie with Amy Adams I will scream! MY GOD, she is in every stinking movie out there. Enough is enough! The couple behind me laughed all through this movie at the mushy parts and to tell you the truth, maybe they were right,. This movie is a stretch to accept unlike the Twilight Zone episode that was so much more believable and not as sappy. The critics praising this movie are either to dumb or to young maybe to remember the original Twilight Zone and it's a shame it has not been mentioned. And it is NOT the best romantic movie of 2013,,,,Enough Said was much better folks!!!!! Julia Dreyfus is in that one. Critics just don't have a clue!
The Looney Tunes Show (2011)
Love it!!! Thanks for sticking to the original feel!
I love this show. It's the best show on TV. Move over Simpsons. Whoever is responsible for the episodes must have been a huge fan of the originals like me because you have captured the feel and voices and antics of the old group. My only gripe is the voice of Witch Hazel. Go back to her creaky voice if you can. Using Daffy as a central character was masterful. The writing is excellent and I can't wait to see these episodes at 6:30 am on the cartoon Ch. here in upstate NY. You people have very successfully brought Looney Tunes into the present. I watched all the old stuff growing up in the 60's and 70's and it has become a part of me. Mel Blanc I feel never got the credit he deserves for the voice characterizations he created. Amazing man. Tweety and Yosemite and Bugs etc. are everywhere to this day. These new episodes will easily make todays generation fans of Looney Tunes true essence. My mother met Mel Blanc in Rosendale NY many years ago, and according to Mel himself, when Porky stutters trying to say That's all folks, Mel used the trick of try to say Poughkeepsie..pokie pokie pokoo That's All Folks!
Crazy on the Outside (2010)
please read this Tim Allen
Hello Mr. All. I just want you to know that I really enjoyed this movie. The negative ratings are hogwash. For your first time out as director you made an enjoyable comedy/drama. I really liked your character,it was convincing. I paint houses so I could relate to that part. It was pretty accurate all the stuff about painting and customer relations. You must have painted for a living? I thought you should have cut the part where your worker makes nasty comment to woman customer. Anyway, I may watch it again. It was fun. Put the peas on his nuts. That's funny stuff. I have to make this ten lines or they won't post it. I did laugh out load several times which usually does not happen. Your movie was way better than Eddie Murphy offerings that's for sure. I also liked all the American cars the characters drove. Chevrolet and ford etc. It was nice to see that. The Dark Side of the Moon (1990)
Excellent!
Why would anyone give this movie any bad mention? It may have had some similarities to other science fiction movies in the past but so what? All space movies have similarities! The acting was great and the plot is imaginative and it is paced well and has suspense and it's a fine little gem of a movie that anyone can enjoy. I never heard of it in 1990 when it came out. How could such a good movie not make waves? Whoever made this did a fine job! I always wondered how some movies slip through the cracks unseen. I found this gem on netflix and will tell my friends to see it. Grab some popcorn and get lost in space for awhile. It's worth it!
