Hvide Sande (2021)

Not convincing
2 June 2021
This series is obviously made to promote Hvide Sande a coastal town with lots of german tourists. That is why Carsten Bjørnlund portrays a german policeman and there is a lot of german dialogues as well.

This is not a typical dark underplayed crime/drama series that we are used to see from the nordic countries. In fact this is the opposite.

The story is not very interesting and not convincing, but the acting is pretty good and the chemistry between the mainactors are good as well.

For me there is to much product placement and a weak story in this series.

Huh..

Why would you ever make a movie about a mother who godes to war instead of her son. She is supposed to look like a man, but she doesn't. It's just annoying. Trine Dyrholm is a great actress, but this role was never ment for her. I can't see past the fact that she is supposed to look like a man (her son).

Important and worth watching.

This is why I could never be a social worker espicially in the family unit. It must be one of the toughest jobs. I would constantly be beating myself up wondering if I made the right choice no matter what choice I made. "No one get's it right every time" they say, but could you live with the consequence of a wrong choice?

Watching this series is a good choice though.

Simpelt brilliant
6 February 2021
This is how it's done. A real investigation does not happen in the pace as portrayed in other series like CSI. This series is respectfully based on the actual events around Kim Walls Murder and the investigation of it. Due to the respect of Kim Wall and her family this series does not portray the killer or mention him by name. In fact Jens Møller (the investigator brilliantly portrayed by Søren Malling) never met the killer during the investigation or after it. This series is almost shot through his eyes.

Smart, manipulative and addictive
26 January 2021
One of the beat series I've ever seen. Smart, manipulative and addictive. Way better than Orange is the new Black and I lovede that one. Wentworth is a study in manipulation and it will make you angry as hell some times, because you really come to care for some of the charachters.

Not my kind og movie

Not the tearjerker I was looking for. Depressing All the way through and absolutely not and emotionel roller-coaster. I found this one boring and way to long. The acting was great though.

Not Dark, bur Equinox
3 January 2021
First of all stop comparing it to Dark. Equinox is bases om a DR podcast from 1985 with the same name. This series had med om the edge of my chair all the way throug it. The end could have been better, or could it? I guess a second season will provide the answers that people hunger for.

I don't get the negative comments unless it's because people compare its not. This series stands on its own.

Crest acting, great cinematography and great story.

Very well balanced
1 December 2020
The balance between very dark comedy, drama and action is very Well balanced in this movie. Although this is a typical Anders Thomas Jensen movie in a typical Anders Thomas Jensen universe, this movie seems more mature than his former hilarious movies "Adams Æbler" and "Blinkende Lygter". This movie cuts a little bit deeper in the drama departement and the acting is also a bit better. This movie will male you think about how you live your life.

Brilliant Movie
19 March 2017
What an amazing heartwarming story 'bout a man fighting for his life. Watch this and be inspired a 100 times. It's not often that I get carried away by movies like this, but this one got to me. I'm a grown man but I cried several times during this movie. If you haven't seen it yet, just do it, you won't regret it. 7,1 is underrated! - Don't overlook this movie just because it's not a big Hollywood flick.
