Pam & Tommy (2022)
It should've been a movie...
The story is very interesting, the performances are fantastic and the resemblance, not only from Pam and Tommy, but the others involved is astonishing!
But every episode tells so little, it's like they don't have enough material to fill. At the starts episodes are 45 min, and the 6th one is barely 30...
It should've been a streaming release movie and it would've been fantastic!
The Power of the Dog (2021)
Be strong, watch until the end...
So tempted to stop watching on many occasions, way too slow and storyline quite dull... the end makes it worthy...
Too much fuzz around the movie; a bit artsy
Acting was very good, Benedict is an unbelievable actor.
The Problem with Jon Stewart: War (2021)
Good, but title is misleading
Jon Stewart as we remembered him, putting the pressure on interesting topics and putting spotlight on the American lie.
But, it's not The Problem with WAR, it's the problem with Veterans Healthcare, or more precisely, with how the US Army disposes waste.
The Burn Holes, damage severely the veterans, as discussed in the episode, but they make significant harm to the environment, which is another American lie and inconsistency. That was the elephant in the room that wasn't covered or even mentioned.
Dave Chappelle: The Closer (2021)
Dave Chappelle is one of the greatest thinkers of our time
We need Dave Chappelle.
He is one of the greatest thinkers of our time. He also happens to be funny.
This special is not as funny as others, but he is telling facts straight out, unfiltered and raw.
No Time to Die (2021)
What a disappointment...
So, just got out of the theatre and I can't remember feeling this dissatisfied after watching a film...
As an action movie, is below average. All the action sequences are in the trailer. Nothing new to get excited in this 3-hours.
Ana de Armas, stunning, but her role was a massive promise in the movie, and is just a sequence, in "her natal Cuba" (well, it was so obvious that was filmed in a set...). Some forced humour that doesn't deliver and it was obvious that Craig asked her to join to build a name as an actress. That sequence was a waste of time.
Lynch's character was useless. Didn't help at all in any mission. The gag of she being 007 was a massive waste of time and her character was neither funny or useful.
The kid, oh my! Why did we needed to add a kid to the sentimentalism?
Rami Malek; what a waste of an actor in one of the worst Bond villains of the last 20 years. Uni dimensional, with a very random plan, without an actual motif.
Waltz, another waste. They had 2 magnificent actors as villains and were so wasted I couldn't believe my eyes (no pun intended!)
The Russian biologist, they should've killed him since the first appearance... why they were trying to keep him alive? And then all of the sudden Nomi kills him. Whaaat? Waste of time. Very terrible attempt for humour.
The classic characters: M, Q, Moneypenny... lack of chemistry with Bond. M doing stupid decisions (being a drunk?!) Moneypenny beyond secondary. Q was the least bad; boy do I miss Bond having gadgets!
Leiter's death, unnecessary. Just to close the Craig cycle.
Ash, since the beginning it was obvious there was something dodgy.
And the ending. Why killing Bond? Why?
One of the best aspects of Bond films was that it was a light hearted action movie that left you with a good after taste.
At the end of the credits it said "James Bond will return" as every other Bond movie. It'll be interesting to see how they solve this mess.
At least it was "James Bond will return" and not "007", so hopefully the woke mob won't win this one and we will see Hardy, Elba or Cavill.
Hopefully it won't be long to get classic Bond: Good action, gadgets, humour, Aston Martins and good tailoring.
Fever Pitch: The Rise of the Premier League (2021)
This is a ManU documentary
It misses the spot.
Has some interesting points, but it's not the story of the Premier League; it's completely focused on Manchester United.
The 4th episode becomes disgusting how much they talk about the Murdoch attempt to acquire United.
Arsenal, Newcastle and Blackburn Rovers are mentioned as nemesis of ManU; but misses to mention the arrival of Zola to Chelsea, for example.
I have it a 3, because I learned some stuff I wasn't aware of, but it's disappointing.
Masters of the Universe: Revelation (2021)
What a disappointment! Mattel missed a big one!
I'm extremely disappointed!!
I can't begin to explain all the reasons; the extremely boring dialogue and overall the story is taking us nowhere.
And when you realised that He-Man, the main character of the show (in every ad and the Netflix poster) is sidelined to give space to this woke agenda, it's appalling.
Don't watch it. Keep your memories of MOTU.
If they want to appeal to nostalgia, feed in to it, don't destroy it. Otherwise create a new IP and line of toys. Another MOTU fiasco, as we have seen for over the last 30+ years (after the original ended)
Teela was already a strong female character in the original series; or you could've make a She-Ra show; not this rubbish.
If this was positioned as the Teela show, a spin-off of the 1980s cartoon, fair enough, but we were all cheated by Mattel and the poor little man that Kevin Smith is.
Sound of Metal (2019)
Acting is stunning, plot has many, many holes
The acting from all of the protagonists is one of a kind...
The plot on the other side, has too many holes. I couldn't empathise with the guy going deaf.
It'd be a shocking, nerve wracking, scare full experience... he goes to the doctor; but he doesn't follow instructions from the professional. Stay away from loud noises!! His reaction; I keep playing in the band, to get my implants.
Then, why the manager, recommends the deaf community and is the only option/best idea? Wouldn't someone going with him to the doctor would be best? Fully understand what's happening?
Then the girl abandons him in the community and builds up her relationship with his dad... ok
I could go on and on... no logic behind each decision.
I get the Oscar nomination for acting and sound, WOW! But for screenplay, it doesn't make sense.
Shameless: Found (2019)
Most anticlimactic farewell to a lead...
Beyond disappointing!!
This has to be one of the most anticlimactic farewells to a lead in a series, if not the most. It felt rushed, didn't have any closure with the other important characters of this of the show
She turned the page from being an alcoholic and Lip forcing her to go to AA meetings, to everyone accepting and encouraging her departure, including Lip, without having an actual closure, or at least hinting what is going to be the future of Fiona, who has been one of the main characters of the series for nine years.
Shameless is suffering the same catastrophe as The Simpsons, extending the storyline, without a natural ending in mine.
Bonding (2018)
Pete is an incredible annoying character
Season 1 was quite good, entertaining, open minded, general fun
Season 2, I'm in the 3rd episode and I can't stand Pete... ruining the entire show
The Fall (2013)
Way too slow, it'd been a good movie.
It's an interesting story, couple of twists, not all stories closed well and extremely predictable.
Jerry Seinfeld: 23 Hours to Kill (2020)
Take him back to 1992...
Some points:
- The squeaking used to be fun, 30 years ago; in this special it's too forced and it's irritating
- He's definitely not happy as a married man; those 16 minutes about marriage were cringing
- What a prick! Not picking up his rubbish in the theatre!
- He complaints about movie theatre ripping off, and tickets for his show are 75% more expensive than a Dave Chappelle show
He has become so arrogant, insulting people and some in the theatre laughing, non sense
Good Boys (2019)
Just watch the trailer
Bad movie, all the good jokes are in the trailers.
Only one kid is funny, the kid that breaks his arm, I can't stand it.
Stupid plot, so many plot holes, one of the most worst movies I've ever seen
