The Idea of You (2024)
Very boring copy
I couldn't help but cringe through this film. It's a head-to-toe copy of various Korean TV shows, and not even a good one at that. Seriously, if you're going to lift from K-drama and K-pop, the least you could do is infuse some authentic Asian content, not just mimic their style and slap a Western label on it. The whole effort feels like a poor imitation-angmohs trying way too hard to make it seem original. Aiyooo, what a missed opportunity to do something genuine. Next time, either go original or go home! This just adds to the pile of uninspired remakes that miss the heart and soul of what they're trying to replicate. 2/10 for me, and that's being generous.
Ruthless (2020)
Shocked about the racism of this movie
"Ruthless" fails spectacularly on multiple fronts, making it a deeply disappointing watch. It's baffling that the director chose to cast only dark-haired men as villains, stripping them of any real identity and reducing them to mere caricatures through poor character development. This decision not only shows a lack of creativity but also treads dangerously close to perpetuating stereotypes, making the film feel outdated and insensitive.
The acting is another major letdown, with performances that range from mediocre to downright unconvincing-save for the lead actor, who manages to deliver a solid performance despite the weak material. The plot itself is uninspired and stale, echoing better films without ever capturing their essence or providing any new perspectives. Watching "Ruthless" is an unsettling experience; it's neither engaging nor entertaining.
Overall, the film contributes nothing noteworthy to the landscape of cinema. It lacks substance in both storytelling and character development, leaving the viewer with a sense of time wasted. The final product is not just forgettable but regrettable, a stark reminder of how films can falter when they lack clear direction and purpose.
The Gentlemen (2019)
Very psychological movie
As a movie enthusiast, I approach every film with an open mind, eager to explore diverse stories and viewpoints. "The Gentlemen," directed by Guy Ritchie, promised an enthralling ride into the underworld of British crime, peppered with his signature style of sharp wit and dynamic storytelling. However, as the credits rolled, I was left with a lingering sense of discomfort that overshadowed the film's attempt at humor and suspense.
One of the film's most glaring issues is its treatment of racial and cultural themes. In an era where cinema has the power to bridge cultural divides and foster understanding, "The Gentlemen" instead opts for a portrayal that leans heavily into stereotypes and racial aggression. The movie navigates through a minefield of cultural sensitivities with the grace of a bull in a china shop, employing dialogues and character portrayals that feel not just outdated, but outright offensive.
The film's attempt at humor often crosses the line into insensitivity, making light of serious issues that affect real communities. While Ritchie's work is known for its edgy humor, the difference between being edgy and being disrespectful is a line "The Gentlemen" frequently crosses. This is particularly disheartening because cinema, at its best, challenges societal norms and promotes empathy. Instead, this movie seems to reinforce negative stereotypes and foster division.
Moreover, the aggressive portrayal of racial dynamics overshadows any attempt at a nuanced discussion of the crime world's multicultural facets. It's a misstep that not only detracts from the narrative's potential richness but also serves as a painful reminder of the industry's ongoing struggles with representation and cultural sensitivity.
Imawa no Kuni no Arisu (2020)
The first and only time I've ever given a 10
This is just another level of drama and deep psychology absolutely love every bit of it
Fantastic sound , video , camera , photography , acting all just get a 10 , the story just different level , enjoyed every episode., I think the word is going through these kind of feelings and emotions and sometimes it make sense to take a step back to think which world is actually real , it reflected a lot on my own personal view of my own surroundings , I also loved the directing so much and the show truly put so much effort in the videography and actresses are just amazingly beautiful loved every and each one of them , I had to even hear the real sound in Japanese.

Skyline (2010)
One of the worst movies,
The issue with this movie that directing is not synced with reality, basically aliens with huge amount of technologies and traveled through the universe ...with all their technology they seem to lack some of the basic tracking and scanning technologies such as thermal scan and body heat signature ,
Mr Director for Christ sake, if you going to make a movie with good story at least try to research and get some facts. The story is great though, just it require a remake with new directors and some guys that know how to act !!
Apart from all that, I liked the animation and technologies, cars and some of the show off stuff, girls were lovely but I'm not sure if the director only wanted to show off good looking nice women.
