Riverdale (2017)
Rating has dropped from a 6 to a 3
I don't often write reviews but I have to admit that Riverdale has completely lost the plot. The first few seasons were good, in parts excellent but gradually it has declined but by bit until it reached mid-season 5 and basically threw itself off a cliff.
You can completely miss the second half of season 5 and honestly don't bother with season 6. I have no idea who writes this stuff, but it sure feels like a bunch of young teens experimenting for film class. The acting has got worse and the music episodes are beyond shocking.
It's sad. It used to have heart, good music and at times decent acting with the mix of some good story telling. Now they're just throwing stuff together, hoping it will stick. After the last episode with the thing from the water, I'm done, out, finished with it for good.
The Wrong Missy (2020)
Save your braincells
I don't often write reviews, I normally just rate and move on. My wife and I watched the trailer and found it funny, however, less than 30 minutes in we turned off. Lapkus is far too annoying, that gradually we felt we were losing braincells. She reminded us of Gina in Brooklyn, but no where near as intelligent, but just as annoying.
I can't add much else, watch the trailer, get some laughs and you'll be set. Just don't bother with the actual film, it is awful.
Silent Night, Bloody Night: The Homecoming (2013)
Terrible
I really can't even muster up the energy to write a full in depth review for this title. It was only on the off chance that I picked up this film, I looked at the awesome cover and read the synopsis and believe this had the potential to be a really good film.
I was wrong, as the saying goes; you can never judge a book by it's cover. The acting was poor, the storyline was terrible and the camera work was below that in which you would find in a soap opera.
It was obvious the budget was low but I feel more money went into the cover than that of the film. There was heaps of potential but it was never realised. Sadly and it pains me to say this, but this is one of the worst films I've ever seen. I've sat through, Freddy Got Fingered and Gigli and still they seemed so much better than this film.
British horror is dead and only seemed any good with the help of Shaun Of The Dead. Please bear in mind, this is only my opinion. One star might be harsh but two would be too kind.
