Roe v. Wade (2019)
Terrible, poor and very biased
Terrible acting, poor production values and a very biased POV.
I'll the NYT sum it up for you:
"Roe v. Wade" paints pro-life rights activists as "the masterminds of a mercenary anti-Catholic conspiracy. They were in cahoots, we're told, with Hollywood, the news media, Protestant clergy and rabbis, with the latter singled out in a caricaturish scene."
What else you need to know?
Mortal Engines (2018)
So sad.
This is the largest collection of clichés, poorly written text and misdirected scenes that have ever existed.
Murdoch Mysteries: Sir. Sir? Sir!!! (2018)
Just have fun!
We laughed the whole episode. Also, although a bit surprised in the end, we realized that there was a clear message. So, when you watch, think about that.
Now, if you don't like it, maybe it's just not your cup of tea. ;)
Genius: Picasso: Chapter Ten (2018)
Distortion and some flat characters
I really like this series. Unfornately, there is a terrible flaw. Picasso is a womanizer and an unlikable character, I get it. But the series also portrayed all the woman as horrible, but the one: Françoise Gilot. She is the hero. She is the one that does everything right. Kind, independent, wise, always says and does the perfect thing at the same time. Through her, the other characters had the opportunity to say or do something good.
When you catch this, it becomes impossible to watch without noticing it.
It could be because his son is the one that manages Picasso's brand. He makes it very hard for people to write or tell a story about Picasso. It makes you think that here he allowed the TV series as long they portrayed his mother in a very good way.
I'm not saying she's bad. It's very nice to think she was the only one that left Picasso, showing her strong personality, but her character here is very, very flat.
Other than that, the series is interesting, althoug it could talk more about his art.
Sorry for my English.
Revolution (2012)
There really is a scientific explanation
I would like you all to disregard every previous comments that stated that the science doesn't make sense in this series. Every one of them were written before people get to the point where they explain what is going on.
So, you can criticize the writing, directing or any other thing, but not it.
I will say that this is not the best thing you ever saw, but it is a good enough entertainment. It's nice. That's all.
I had to write this because is very unfair that people write about this series like that, misleading potential viewers. Take your shot. If science is your main concern, keep watching. It will make sense.
