If this was about the adults, ok. I probably still wouldn't watch it, but live by the sword, die by the sword. However, to make this so heavily centered on an 8 year old boy who's only crime was being born is GROSS. I would be so embarrassed to be attached to this program. What a bunch of slime sucking losers. How would you feel if this was about your child? You should all be very ashamed of yourselves, especially those of you who are parents!

Those Who Wish Me Dead
(2021)
All the stars are for the kid. He did an amazing job

The rest is dull and agonizingly unbelievable. Admittedly, I am not a huge Jolie fan. Her performance did not change my opinion. She is nobody's idea of a BA and just seemed completely out of place. There are too many ridiculous situations that make no sense to mention.

So you're thing,"This isn't THAT bad..."

But then you manage to make it to the end. That is where the whole thing just splats for want of a different word. I did not find any of the characters all that likable but I kept watching anyway and was left feeling like a deflated party balloon by the end. We watched it for free, I certainly wouldn't pay a penny to watch it, the waisting of my time was cost enough.
Wow! Just wow!

The Great British Baking Show

Season 8, Matt Lucas
26 October 2020
Love this show. I will probably always love this show BUT Matt Lucas is not a good fit. The problem is the addition of Matt Lukas (who isn't quite as funny as he may think he is) forces Noel to play the "straight man" and that is not a good role for him. Sandy was a much better ying to Noel's yang. Still love the show, just not as much.

Your blade will kill

Am I the only one who watches this show mainly to hear Doug say his lines? I love the way he smiles as he says them. Fun to watch when you have some time to kill (no pun intended). I looked up some of the champion's work online. Some of them create beautiful works of art that happen to be incredibly functional.

Watch the first season. Then watch something else

Remember when you went to the theater and watched "The Matrix" and your mind was blown? Then Matrix two and three came out and the writing and plot was ridiculous and incredibly lazy. I was so disappointed. That is exactly how I feel about this shown First season is incredible, great twists, and you can't wait to find out what is at the center of the maze. Then it just gets lost. Too bad. 10 stars for the first season 4 for the second, zero for the third. (Kind of like the last season of "Game of Thrones".

Hansel and Gretel were actually white, Christian, murderous, racists
14 March 2020
Warning: Spoilers
They lost me when they turned Hansel and Gretal into a story about two evil Christian children who murder a nice Jewish lady minding her own business so they could steal her fortune. The program is ok but certainly not great. The Characters are all completely one dimensional with the possible exception of Jonah. And while it's somewhat satisfying to imagine Nazis getting their just desserts the annoying outweighs the entertaining.

The "Afternoon Special" of First Responder Shows
16 October 2018
Warning: Spoilers
Yes, the writing and some of the acting is THAT bad. So face-palm, eye-roll, predictable it will make your cringe muscles will hurt. If you must watch pretend it's satirical, that way you can at least get a laugh out of it. Or make a drinking game out of it: every time Buck gets it on with some random chick, drink! Every time the 50 year old redhead acts like she's 25, drink! You get the picture.

Really enjoyed first season but...
10 April 2017
Warning: Spoilers
Binge watched entire first season, couldn't get enough! Watched second season, it was still good but i started to find the facial expressions and reaction shots (Alexis and David are practically the same character when it comes to mugging for the camera) a little too repetitive. And then there is season three. Although i like the idea that David "likes the wine and not the label" I found the situation with Stevie and David plus one awkward and seriously unrealistic (and not in a funny way). They can definitely use the confusing chemistry between the two (plus various ones) characters but the way they did it in that story line was just kind of cringe worthy. No matter how desperate a person is, they would not carry on like that if they were besties and living/working in the same building. I still LOVE the characters and the idea of the town I just wish they would expand their ideas a little (ala Arrested Development). I also highly recommend NOT binge watching this show because it loses its flavor (like binging on your favorite dessert). PS Dan Levy and his costar do a nice job in the last episode of season 3 in "their scene". David, you are a very sweet and "generous" man after all <3 And I'm pretty sure Dan Levy is brilliant! (as for Eugene Levy and Catherine O'Hara, it goes without saying, always comic geniuses)

Meh...
17 September 2010
I wanted to like it. I love Smitts, its just too cardboard cut out. Writing is cliché. Smits character may as well be wearing a big "S" on his chest and a red cape. He shows no vulnerable side, no deeper issues to make him human and likable. And the supporting actors are not great, maybe its the writing. Plus, as usual, conservatives are evil, the only pure hearts beat in liberal's chests...I am so sick of that overcooked, generalized, message. And how does he go, in a matter of hours, from believing this guy had eleven years to fight his verdict in court and that the system, that he has served his whole life, works- to throwing away his seat on the supreme court to defend the guy? what is Smits' character basing his change of heart on? Maybe I fell asleep for a second and missed something. And surprise, the guy is innocent, it would have been more interesting if the guy was actually guilty or if he was innocent and Smits and he Godzilla size ego didn't take the deal from the prosecutor and the guy almost or does die, teaching Smitz a lesson in humility at the cost of a human life. Then he spends the rest of the season trying to reconcile his life's work with the reality of our well meaning but often flawed legal system. I am not hard to please but this one didn't make the cut.
