The Peripheral (2022)
I think I figured it out
The reason everybody is losing interest around episode 5 is because of something Chloe Grace Moretz's character Flynn does at the end of episode 4. It makes zero sense that she doesn't tell her brother about all the apocalyptic stuff that happens when she talks to those two future people. When episode 5 begins you are immediately aware how off-putting the actress playing Aelita and whatever sort of performance she's trying to give or you're not. And it really isn't your fault because there's a lot of stuff going on in the show. The actress who's playing Aelita's former lover that killed by the other actress from The Tell-Tale Heart episode of Fall of the House of Usher isn't doing the episode any favors either.
The credits haven't even rolled. Can't wait for the finale.
The Believer (2021)
What is just the acid or is there something to this weird ass film?
You won't know quite what's going on or if you've lived this moment a thousand times.
Steel Country (2018)
Scott is all over the place.
Sometimes he's autistic. Sometimes he's a character from an Elmore Leonard novel. But he's always a resentful prick.
Tragedy Girls (2017)
Friendship Reigns
Poor writing disguised as grand design makes for a slew of thin characters. No consequences is okay ever now and then, but the film never earns the two-steps ahead conclusion the filmmakers stumbled into.
