The Strain (2014)
Truly one of the Best from Book adaption to TV Series
Truly one of the Best from Book adaption to TV Series. Here exhibited the slow How, What,When, Where, and finally Why to a tongue gripping terror series. And Heroes that we loved, Villains we despised and the folly of fools who caused so much calamity.
Batman & Robin (1997)
not worthy of the "DARK KNIGHT LEGEND".......
This truly was not worthy of the "DARK KNIGHT LEGEND". It obliterated the total folklore created by BOB KANE. Director Joel Schumacher castrated every thing that Tim Burton did to bring class, solidity, and a well definition to the comic book legend on film.
Happily Mr. Schumacher will never, ever have anything else to do with the "WARNER BROTHERS BATMAN FRANCHISE" again. Let's do like they did in the television series DALLAS with BOBBY EWING. We'll make this film a dream. It never happened!
With a new Batman film currently in production perhaps that will come true. And we'll follow the previous foot steps of good cinema and honor to myth, such as Tim Burton did in the original film.....
Farscape: The Peacekeeper Wars (2004)
Truly the Best is always the Last, this was the Best!
Farscape:The Peacekeeper Wars was truly to the quote," the best is always last." Once again Series Creator Rockne S. O' Bannon and Executive Producer David Kemper, and Henson Productions had returned us to that portion of the Universe far exceeding the limits of our imagination. And also giving closure and finale to many story plots of the previous four year quest of Astronaut John Crichton and his beloved Flight Officer Aeryn Sun. Equally within this final piece the reappearance of other beloved and familiar characters showing solid and firm tapestry. Because in a series like Farscape it's not stand alone character show, but an intricate web of characters and situations that really kept the viewer on edge. Good television is a rare find and this series truly deserved a well resolution to that Cliffhanger of March 21st, 2003.
In all the Mini Series was delightfully entertaining, romance filled, comedic, surprising and, tear jerking in all a well written saga. Also this Mini Series gave hints that nothing really ends. Being if you watched it carefully, seeds for Second Mini Series or possibly a feature film had been planted. But for now I'm comfortable that poetic justice has been done for one of the best new concepts of television.....
The Last Man on Planet Earth (1999)
Story had promise but didn't take a Twilight Zone twist
The story line of a Mutant Y- Virus that kills every human male had potential. But this story didn't push the envelope. The writer didn't research his material well enough. That an Event Level Event bio threat like this one would have probably eliminated every male mammal as well. Or at least that a mutant virus would also effected the ecosystem and caused variant oddities in nature. Sixty-five Million years ago one species was a dominant life form but wasn't able to adapt. True you could have a world removed of the Y -Chromosone,but evolution would no longer exist. This being the clone society as they had it wouldn't be able to adapt to coming changes. Also a common factor noted by the Center for Disease Control," nothing just goes away, because one day an organism will come back, when it comes back it has learned, leaped, and taken major strides...... The writer could have included this in the story. That the virus is coming back to attack X- Chromosome or everyone not born with a survivor gene passed down by Y-chromosome survivors emphasis. The writer could have put that in the story, being that the Hope Chayse character could have been trying warn every one of a coming Apocalypse. And the by the end of the film could have really made it something really scary. The plot twister, there can be no light without darkness, and no darkness without the light. I'm really surprised and disappointed that writer Kenneth Biller who credits include Voyager and X-files didn't include this type of tapestry to this piece.
