La pelle sotto gli artigli (1975)
A bizarre mish mash of exploitation sub-genres.
A strange, super low budget oddity filmed in bare offices and open fields. A doctor claims to have discovered a chemical cocktail that will keep a corpse functioning and endeavours to achieve his ultimate goal: procreation between two reanimated corpses. Meanwhile the police and an ex colleague of the doctor try to unravel a string of murders and disappearances, including the doctors corpse from the mortuary when he dies of a heart attack at the end of the second act.
Odd, titillation is shoehorned in to keep the rather slow opening half interesting and then, in the final act, the ideas and twists come thick and fast until the fantastic (if slightly predictable) twist.
Certainly worth tracking down as a curio but best watched with company as you'll want someone to talk to, even if it's just to ask "what !".

Strange but lovely
I saw this at the Cannes festival a couple of years back and really liked it. I watched it back to back with Jam Films with is out now but there's no sign of a DVD of this title at all. It concerns a strange sport (I'm not sure if it's even real or not) apparently played in Japanese schools but facing a ban due to the high levels of injury. A group of kids build a team for the last tournament they will ever be allowed to play (only allowed at all because of some underhand dealings with a teacher) in a plot that resembles (but only in framework) many American high school sport movies.
It is funny as hell and occasionally quite moving.
If you can find it i recommend it highly.
