Prison Ugliness Exposed

Though it's a fictional movie, and has some star power from the Rap industry and other parts of our society, this movie actually tells the ugly truth about the prison life... Whether it is the guard who idolizes his field or the Prisoners who are abused and who are totally abused, some being abused sexually, by the Tyrant who runs the Prison, this is a very ugly part of the world of Prison...... Definitely a very sad movie in the regards of showing these harsh conditions and providing people with no way out, this is a truly scary film and I recommend it to those who can stomach it..

Fairy Tale Movie

Of course, we all know that people that works in fields like Secretary, Nurse, and Even Hotel Maids are often the heroes of many of us...We are definitely seeing that in the age of Covid, but there have been moves that have stood the test of time and showed this.....Maid in Manhattan from '02 is one of these movies, and all of the actors are great and the ending is about what you might expect but still worth checking out ...Plenty of talk of Spin within the Movie (remind me of you of anyone currrently in the WHitehouse) so yes, this movie is even relevant to today... Definitely hope you take a chance and watch this movie......

Lots Of Action

If you like action and if you fear that a lot of our Urban areas are becoming isolated from the rest of their bigger societies, this is the movie for you..This is Gentrification to the extreme where you have the so-called undesirables in their own territory away from the rest of society....In the midst of all of this, the powers that be decide to tear it down and create a utopia which leaves the residents in a lurch and in the midst of all of this is the possibility that gang bangers may have a powerful weapon and a serious hostage......Definitely full of action scenes from the beginning when we met our heroes to the absolute end....The acting is decent but not great but if you want some serious action, I would definitely recommend this movie........

Not Easily Broken (2009)

Fan of BIll Duke

I am a fan of Bill Duke, and this tale of a broken relationship that needs healing has all kinds of twist and turns ranging from a potential affair losing their own child in a sports accident to the lead actress character having a confrontation with her mother who is trying to put her past on her daughter, and I'm sure we can all relate to that idea of not letting the past go in one form or another......This is definitely a movie that is worth seeing and even the sappy ending is handled well........Great job folks...

Caught Up (1998)

Reformed Crock

Another story of a reformed crook, and yes there is a nice twist at the end when we found out who the mystery shooter is...Overall, not a bad film with the lead actress playing two roles and actually pulling it off, even to the point that a tell tale tattoo is what gives away the Switch essential to the storyline.....The Jamaican bad guys and the Limo driving bad guy are both very campy, but it's that type of movie so doesn't spoil the movie in my opinion.....Definitely a decent storyline and if you are sitting at home bored why not watch this one.....

Honor Among Thieves

This film argues that there should be a code of honor even among thieves...When our main character is shafted out of his share, he seeks revenge and he also runs across a lovestruck real agent who wants to help him....In the end, the real bad guys get their dues and justice is served....now what happens to our heroes, well you will have to watch the movie to see....Definitely not a bad movie, and worth checking out.......Plenty of fireworks both in the beginning and in the end of the movie........

Yes, there is no doubt we are very much of a consumer economy and consumer society, and this is kind of what this movie takes aim at...Murphy plays a Eastern Religious type Guru who basically disrupts Qvc and other type shows.....Suprisingly his unorthodox ways take off and he gets amazing ratings which he is why he is allowed to stay on the air.. Of course, there is a nice romantic twist going on as well....The movie is definitely campy and Murphy has some better movies in his repertoire, but if you just want simple fun, WHY NOT watch it.......

Good Action Movie

Definitely has some comedy moments which you would expect from a movie of this nature...But, it is also full of great action fights and there are definitely intense and full of action, even for some of this aging actors....and, of course having a love interest as well is also a nice twist...and, of course, as we often learn revenge doesn't pay.......or maybe it does, since the revenge character appears to come back in good health in the end...and the skills the new student learns helps takes on bullies.......Definitely not a bad action movie and I would recommend it....

Drags In Places

I definitely enjoy criminal drama and suspense, and I am a Al Pacino fan but there are parts of the movie where this movie does seem to drag.....would like to see a little more action, but it definitely does explore the world of Forensic Psychology........Overall not a bad movie, and I think it might keep you occupied for awhile.....

Historical Figure Explored

Like most great movies of a historical ability, there are some that may not feel that is totally historically accurate...But, it is definitely a movie that will get us to research this very amazing figure who has a great legacy in our community.....There are some who may have questions about Walker's relationship with Booker T. Washington and W.E.B. DuBois, and also how close she was to Rockefeller and there are questions about the accuracy of the rival.........But, overall, I think the story is very good.......

Funny Film and I'm sure we can relate

I'm sure we have all had the friend or relative member that likes to meddle, so I'm sure that we can relate to this movie....The acting was decent, but not great, and of course there is a rapper lead actor......Overall, the storyline is very true and even the fairytale ending isn't overly bad...I would recommend this as a fun fluff movie to watch....

Just when the main character seems to have things going for himself, he is thrown into a interesting predicament..........Definitely a great adventure, and has some interesting moves but probably could have had some better twists and turns in order to make an even better movie..But for a movie to watch on a quiet weekend, I would still recommend this movie that has some star power.....

Good Movie And Fairly Good

When I first saw this movie, I was thinking it was older because most movies on Bounce are much older...but this one is fairly recent and not bad either....We are all afraid of modern technology taken off and that's the case in this movie...This top secret unit takes over and it turns out it has a good reason for taking over....The ending actually is surprising and there are some good moments in the movie....The relationship between the various character and the way they play out are also very interesting...

Lisa Raye is trying to survive and make a legitimate start despite having to work in a exotic dancing club environment....She is trying to make a legitimate start and there are folks that are trying to cut her down...I'm sure there are folks out there who can truly relate to this story. Ice Cube actually proves to be quite a adapt writer and director and I feel he did a good job and addressed a story that many can relate to particularly these days.......

Thought the movie was Hilarious when I first saw it in the late 80's and I still think the movie is hilarious...Definitely has some drama moments but also very comic so that's why I would call it a comedy-drama......The acting is done very well and there are some great performances by classic actors like Eddie Murphy, Redd Foxx, Della Reese and others as well........Definitely come and check out this great movie...

Yes Sexual Addiction is a very real addiction and this movie doesn't treat it with kid's glove.....Definitely lets you know about the manipulation and hiding that can go with this disease......Definitely some good acting and even the ones who are victimized by the disease are treated fairly in how they are portrayed and they can't get off lightly either....in some cases even showing the enabling....Has a hopeful and some would say sappy ending but a definite true movie....

This is definitely a cute movie that has some profound lines about standing up for your rights and treating people with respect....Also cute seeing some profound acting roles by folks like Rick Fox and John Salley as well as cameos by people like Ed Koch and Donald Trump. Think the film is worth checking out and is definitely worthwhile checking out.....

Not a bad role for Halle Berry who plays a woman who feels as if she is being neglected by our overly business minded husband, and makes a off handed comment that is overheard by a psycho who has his own plans of what to do and who to blame....The demise of the husband was a little over done to say the least and who is going to believe that a psycho is going to let the Gorgeous Halle off that easy.......While there are some points that are definitely way too manufactured, and the ending is weak to say the least, the film still has some redeeming qualities and the acting isn't too bad and you can see where the situation being presented could be a reality.........Worth at least checking out on Cable or Netflixs.....

When the movie came out, me, my Dad and Brother went to see this movie and thoroughly enjoyed it.....We all have Bucket lists and this movie is a great exploration of that.....as a matter of fact, a year or two after we saw it, one of my brother's bucket list was accomplished.....He had a child....They are now 10 and 11.....But, I'm sure there are many more items of the Bucket list we all want to accomplish...I accomplished one of mine..i finally got on a Cruise and I'm sure Dad has done some too, but there are some that are featured in here that I will never do like fall from a plane.......definitely a great movie and two amazing actors playing the leading roles...

I always enjoy a good mystery and this is definitely one of those.....They are not afraid to tackle social issues like Abortion and Middle Eastern politics and much more.....Definitely a great series and I wish it had lasted even longer...but it did have a long run..........

A crazy race that involves some name actors and helicopters, a bus load full of Lucy's, and cars going at Hyper speed, participants being chased by Nazis and Motorcycle gangs, and a whole lot of other zaniness....and ends with a positive humanitarian message with where the money finally goes......

Been a fan of Sherlock since I was a kid....And this series does not disappoint....even has one arc in the storyline that will have you wondering about authenticity of Holmes himself.... definitely some great storylines. ..
