Winnie-the-Pooh: Blood and Honey (2023)
Cashing in on the name.
100% cashing in on the Winnie the Pooh name to draw an audience. One of the dumbest movies I've watched in a long time. You get a little excited with the intro going over our classic beloved bear and Christopher robin. But then it just sinks into cliche horror movie murders and is so weak. It doesn't really make sense and if more care and love were put into it then it actually could have been something memorable. Instead what we get is some girls in the 100 acre woods, when people were already disappearing in the woods... makes sense huh? The girl literally says "he is everywhere I go, why won't he leave me alone"... when they are the ones in the woods. It's laughable and I pushed my way through it even though I wanted to turn it off 15 minutes in. If the run time was not under an hour and a half I would have .
The Machine (2023)
Really stretching this joke...
Why Mark Hamill! Why.... He is the only reason I gave it a 2. I still remember how hard I laughed when I first heard the stand up. But ol Bert really put emself in a corner basic his entire career on the story. Too me he's already "that guy who didn't wear a shirt and told that machine joke" Bert is just a one trick pony, and this movie will be what sends it on the way back down. Hopefully Tom Segura goes out on his own with the podcast or join with someone else. And it wouldn't be a big deal shows end, he would be nice about it, and say it's just time to move on and do other projects. Would love too see Tom in some movies, love his stand up.
About My Father (2023)
Worst decision of De Niro's career?
I mean I questioned when I heard about Bad Grandpa, but that turned out too be pretty funny, And Aubrey Plaza from P&R was hilarious. This movie it's all on De Niro, hes the only high light. Mascalso is just Italian joke this, Italian joke that in his standup. This movie is pretty much an extent of that. I had to watch the sopranos after I watched it just so I could get the bad taste out of my mouth. Now there's quality! Too fill the rest of this I could just talk about how good that show is! I mean you guys will see what I mean when you watch this terrible movie, but if you've never watched the Sopranos! Now there is something that will make up for how bad this thing was!
Year One (2009)
Can't believe it was Harold Film!
So bad. Still remember going with my stoner buddy to go see this film in theaters.... About 30 minutes in we left... I mean we had somewhere too go, but if it were any good I'm sure we would have stayed anyway. We saw a lot of those movies stoned around this time. Lot of hilarious movies around that time. Pineapple Express, Step Brothers, Role Models, I love you man. Judd Apatows movies eh hit and miss but all watchable (at the time). But this one man wow. From the get go. I don't know it looks like some in here enjoyed it, but anytime I've seen it on TV (not often) I try to watch, but no matter where it is, usually results in an eye roll and change of the channel. Love Jack Black, love Michael Cera, and love Harold and watching all his old movies. But this takes a hard L.
House of the Dragon (2022)
Lyin' to yourselves! Rating over 7!?
This is the most boring and confusing bs I have ever watched. I watched GOT 3 times over. And still! Just what I wanted... a show where I have to get online and figure the **** out who everybody is while I watch it. Never knew just what I needed was too rewind 42 times because I missed something, on account uh, I'm also doing research.... There is no comedy, my dad hates that the most, Tyrion, the Hound right off the top of my head, hilarious! I get we're going back even further, and the ages are getting darker. But I haven't laughed one time watching this, it's hard on account uh, how dull it is. If this gets any worse or stays as bad as it is just call it. Wait till dude writes a couple more books then bring back GOT.
White Men Can't Jump (2023)
Maybe hire actors!?
Why would you give a major role to someone with no acting experience? I like a couple of Jack's songs, but that doesn't mean I'm about to hire him for a major movie that so many people that do know what they are doing, are working hard on... this is a very moronic move, and it keeps happening lol. It's pathetic. The trailer looked bad enough but I tried to watch it anyway and give it a chance. Terrible idea. I mean I know he's got connections but wow. And the fact he had to hire not only an acting coach but a personal basketball trainer? That straight makes me laugh. Terrible in every sense of the word terrible.
Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings (2021)
Really good, but Awkwafina 🙄
So good, I was really into it but then eye roll about 42 times when they force in Awkwafina one liners. They really didn't need to include her pointless scenes, there were enough comedic elements without her. But literally everything else about the film was pretty great. The backstory of Shang and his sister was really good, kind of not cool who the bad guy is because you would hope that could have been avoided before it went as far as it did. Despite it though still really enjoyable film. But the ending definitely looked like more Awkwafina in a follow up so more eye rolls incoming, but it's possible to get through it despite her, just ignore...
Me Time (2022)
Lazy and just why?
If you say there are no funny parts, you are just lying. Definitely funny parts.... But Netflix seemed lazy to pay for better cgi, which ya when it comes to comedy who cares as long as it's funny!? But I can't understand , it's mark's characters birthday celebration and why does he want us to think he's younger then he actually is..... lol why even try that. He's 52 and celebrating his 44th in the movie. Just be real. What really is the difference at that point, especially since you are definitely already sitting your 52 year old ass on a pile of money and look better then anyone who is 52 or above, other then my dad. That dude takes care of himself! Just own it. It's enough to dye hair and act younger. Overall, worth one watch and bye, but if not that's ok too you're not missing anything. I'm 28, watched it with my parents. And they were not impressed, pretty sure I thought it was funnier then they did, which is usually not the case.
Eternals (2021)
Kumail?
Lol terrible choice. Love his comedy but that was easily the worst casting decision in a super hero movie. And that includes DC ... ok maybe a better choice then Ezra Miller now, but other then that just bad. Decent story, I can see what they are trying to do... just didn't quite reach what they wanted too. And other then that pretty great casting! Couple of Game of Thrones guys in there, right on. I think no matter what, all of the movies, shows are made more entering watching them in the timeline order. But it would be nice if new content stopped popping up in the middle of the timeline after I am caught up. But too much good content is better then not enough. So can't complain too much.
She-Hulk: Attorney at Law (2022)
Hate is too much
It was fine. I see what people are annoyed with but it's been 1 episode lol. She has more control thanks to Bruce and all of his hard work. I'm sure she will have some struggles figuring it out, it's not like she saved the world from a major invasion... she saved a courtroom from one evil doer. So don't like they are making her too amazing! I don't understand why people hate seeing women be super heroes. I have 4 sisters, I have a niece that wants to be like Gamora. It's great and inspiring for her! Love to watch softball with her and tell her she can do anything she wants. Just have to work hard for it!
Hopper et le hamster des ténèbres (2022)
Unnecessary A list actors
Always a relief when they don't feel the need to name 5-8 big name actors in the trailer. Usually means the project is actually pretty good and love goes into it. A listers are so unnecessary especially for the kids. I'm watching with my niece and dad. Parts have made us laugh and she is enjoying it! Great watch with children.
Space Jam: A New Legacy (2021)
Niece liked the sequel more
She's 11. I like to watch movies with her that I did when I was little. She loved Hook and The Sandlot. We do I pick one, she picks one. She liked Space Jam but liked this one more. I thought it was alright and like all of you went into it with a negative attitude. So it looks like the kids enjoy it and that's all that matters really. I thought it was cool how the fans were other WB properties but sure that was an easy move I get it. Overall enjoyed it and would give it another watch!
The Boys (2019)
Enjoy watching but...
I really enjoy the show, just starting season 3. So I appreciate it being made and all the work everyone is doing. But honestly seems like something I will only want to watch one time through; the characters are great, the story is great. But it feels a lot like The Watchmen, and something they could have done with that if they didn't do what they did. Which was fine, but The Boys is a much better version of it! Spoiler: girl who can explode heads is no fair! How you gon have a chance, aluminum foil hats!?
The Punisher (2017)
Literally the only downfall
Dudes face. Punisher messed him up! And he's got nothing ... so weak. Dragged his face through glass and it's a couple cuts. Guy must have an annoying agent.
The Norm Show (1999)
Why did it end so soon!?
It's sickening there aren't more ways to watch this! Every episode I have been able to see have been great! If ever there were a a random, forgotten show to bring back, this was it! Too bad it can't be done now! Would love to find a box set!
Norm Macdonald Has a Show (2018)
Something I will watch over and over
Easily something I will watch over and over for a long time. Norm was my hero and if you are lucky enough to have watched his YouTube show, it was basically this but Norm could say whatever the **** he wanted. Love the guests he had for this show! Chevy shows he's still hilarious, "you have just a few episodes who do you want", only Norm chooses Judge Judy! Michael Keaton was great and you find out about his comedy background, wish they were longer because I could watch another hour of Lorne talking with Norm, and it all starts in perfect Norm fashion, with him messing with his friend Spade.no spoilers though! Absolutely worth a watch.
The Grinch (2018)
Grinch no good
Grinch had a Complete lack of personality, they might as well as hired my uncle Elroy. That guys the worst! And he would do it for cheaper! But compared to Jim Carey that's not surprising... well done though, the reason it's good is because of everything else. Definitely a different take. My niece likes it so I guess I can't give it a 1.
It Chapter Two (2019)
Good if it were not It 2
It was very funny, but extremely corny and dragged out. It was as if they were trying to make a Sam Raimi film, but with Pennywise and zombies. Someone please explain the zombies, studio call? Just a horrible film for being hyped as It chapter 2. But enjoyable if you are not excited for an It film. It was funny, goofy, an entirely too lengthy movie, all in all far from what an IT film sequel could have been.
