Goes from good to unfathomable
1 January 2021
The first few were pretty decent stories with direction and flaws. After that it was awful.

Another tick or tok
23 March 2020
It was more time wasted in repeated plot. Only towards the end does it get interesting. Comeon fellas, the potential for better story is enormous.

Needed to be better
16 March 2020
After the poor season 2, I was really looking forward to a great start. It's better but hasn't done much to remove the bad after taste of season 2. Hoping for better season.

Success begets cash
15 August 2019
Warning: Spoilers
They might have had only material for 10 - 12 episodes at max. Well then why waste a chance to stretch the plot thin and make easy money. Too many repetitions in the name of memories. Too many twists in plot. Which makes season 1 almost 8/10. Season 2 is just frustrating. There is absolutely no point for introducing the indians and Japanese. A small storyline for them, why not the Amazonian tribe, the African tribe, Romans? Possibilities are limitless to bore the viewer. I would have loved to see Maeve get out she could, "so many paths that lead to our extinction", there was a possibility for ending her role in the outside world. But it would have been exciting. A single season would have made this one of the greatest series. And looking forward to season 3.

Go go go
29 July 2019
It was a good movie spoiled by bad writing. How many times does one have to hear "go-go-go" , "you okay", "u gonna be ok", "sure about this?"; staring at impending disaster instead of running, taking the wrong turn and again staring at things. Don't kill English and make another cliche bits stuck into a action movie

Bold new movie but flawed script and mediocre editing
26 April 2014
Warning: Spoilers
I must congratulate for the supreme efforts. The movie is so different and shows the Kannada industry a bold new path after Lucia did the same. Lets get to the movie.

It starts and slows up until rakshith shetty shows up. Things spice up, his dialogues were the best and entertaining. Here and there the movie drags a bit. Since the movie has tried to set such a bar, i must say one or two songs were uncalled for. My opinion is that a song should be suitable for a situation like in Dil Chata Hai.

Script wise it does not do justice, too many characters and one ends up with 'what was the point being made'? At the least, the script should lead the audience to a logical point from which they can deduce something meaningful. Here the script neither does justice to any character (except rakhith shetty's)nor has a point.

Cinematography is good and songs shot well.

Neither here nor there
15 May 2007
The movie does not get into any subject in depth.

There could have been more humor because the movie doesn't involve you intellectually nor does it move your heart.I kept waiting for more, just too little and it does disappoint.

There was no need to deal with homosexuality(it does not help the story line in anyway). There was no need for dharmender to do such a role (he has lost his voice).

Acting is fine. The songs do get monotonous.

I wish it was a direct copy of the "Apartment" with some extra comedy. That would have made it a much better movie than what it is now.

Just does not happen
30 August 2005
I was rather unimpressed with the movie. When will a Indian director forsake the stupid song and dance sequence while doing somebody's biography. The problem is not just the song and dance, its just not well made. It does not fit the situation.

Aamir Khan does perform but I found the British Hindi of the firangees hard to follow.

The movie fails in making a emotional connection between the audience and the real-to-reel hero. Its very sad to see that a director takes the liberty to tamper someone else's true life and change it to his own commercial interests. And ends up doing a bad job at that too.

The movie lacks a decent script, I'm confused what is the truth and what is director's masala. Rather than use the freedom struggle as a background, we have flimsy love affairs to contend with.

This is nothing but a cheap bollywood masala movie, daring to use a true hero's life for its own selfish purpose.

Stay away !

If you liked Hera Pheri...
18 December 2004
Then you would love this movie. Arshad Warshi is so funny, the highlight of the movie.

The movie starts off okay, its setting the plot. Here's whats happening, actually the whole plot is very superfluous. But then you would never really care. Wait for Arshad to kick in. The movie sort of slacks off a bit in the end.

Acting is good except 'Julie' aunt does not impress. And a series of songs that will bore you. Bad songs and not needed. I wouldn't care about it.

Its just a laugh your socks off movie. The dialogs are snappy and very hilarious.

You will come out with a good deal of laughs.

I rate it 8/10.

One of the best
17 December 2003
It must have been such a irritant for drummond to think of ways to convince these fanatics otherwise. I really loved this film, it is funny. It gets serious when it needed to. And the case is so peculiar that its makes it very interesting to watch the end. One of the best courroom dramas.

Such a beautiful film
12 November 2003
I just watched it today. The film is very moving, i could really feel how jack felt. Surprisingly i understood the film because i feel i connected to the character so well. Jack didn't like his wife, he did not care about his daughter and i don't think he hated himself. But he has this emptiness in his life, he is sad, he needs someone to love, and all the time he never really cared. Then his wife passes away, he is all alone. and the rest of the film deals with his soul searching and finally he finds that he hasn't really made any difference in anybody's life, his wife didn't love him, his daughter marries to a punk, it was all mistake, he feels so useless. but then the kid in africa sends him a painting and a letter and thats the moment he cries, finally he made a difference in that kids life. Such a beautiful story.

Blue Steel (1990)
a total disaster
11 November 2003
Ron silver acted so bad. the script is so bad. in the store scene, she does not call for back up when she sees what was happeneing. and later ron silver takes away the gun, okay thats a bit surprising because there had been no introduction to his character until then, and funny jamie does not bother to stay behind and do the policework, thats okay because she is apparently too shocked and takes leave. later the chief accuses her of shooting ron silver too many times and also going to the extent of accusing her of shooting an unarmed man. now how about the people in the store, surely someone did see him, how about the security camera, how about the people in the streets, well nobody seems to have seen this guy hold the gun. Very poor film by any standards. Later silver shoots jamie's friend while holding jamie's neck with his arms, and she later says she did not see his face... what a stupid story.

thrills

its very very unlike the other 80s videos, no camera tricks, the werewolf is cool... but its not about that. the song is addictive, and the best part being the dance. it really gets your adrenaline pumping. the moves makes you want to dance too... atleast for me, i wish i was one of those ugly monsters dancing with jackson.

better than expected
7 July 2003
i was expecting a average movie since cameron was not directing the movie. but the movie wasn't a disappointment. its a good movie, the ending is very good. i found myself in the mood halfway through the movie, 'the fear of machines' brought about by the other two movies. it gets real interesting after that. the director has brought some humour which works, but unecessary. i would love to see a T4. Now the bad aspects. Loken does not fit the TX profile that well, she looks beautiful but a girl more athletic and more importantly a bit muscular would have been the better choice. Stahl is also not a very ideal choice either. he is short and has a softer image. i don't know why Edward Furlong from T2 was not chosen. the continuity had a very strong impact on the appeal of John Connor. Otherwise a taller guy with chiselled features resembling the John Connor from T1. The movie was shot mostly in daylight, T2 was shot in the night giving that somber and lonely feeling putting a fear in the hearts of audience. It should have been followed here. Action sequences are great, again night would have been better.

But that sould not spoil the thrill of watching T3.

Action,women and action
27 June 2003
The latest Bond movies are so action oriented that it does not make sense to do any more bond movies. First of all who are these directors, ( all the pierce brosnan bond movies); their list of movies does not impress at all. The script seem to be more action oriented, with a thin icing of plot. Then there are loads of beautiful women. I say cut down the action, let the boy do some work, real spy work, nowadays it seems he's more of a terminator/assasin than a spy. Pierce Brosnan performs very well, i hope with a strong story line, the "connery days" can be matched. Jesus, no more bond movies after seeing such terrible direction and plots.

I'm not disappointed
20 June 2003
The sequel does live upto to the original. Even though the media were suggesting that the new characters would spoil the movie, it does not. the focus is still on the same people like wolverine(my fav), storm and rest of the crew from the original. wolverine really rocks. since its from a comic i guess these guys could plug in any story line for the sequel. guess its also going for a triology. but it does not disappoint at all. watch it.

yawn
20 June 2003
i chose this movie after i believed the ranking it was given. the movie just does not live upto any expectations. please avoid it, there are many better movies out there. first of all the plot does not click, it just fails to catch your attention. and cary grant does not give the performance needed. and whats with the plane trying to shoot him on a highway, any dumbo can think of much better ways to dispose somebody off. i was frustrated and also irritated. i guess alfred hitchcock is not for me, this being my first movie of his. i only liked the final moments, hanging off mt.rushmore. really not worth the rating. i'd give it a 5/10.

I'm whiny
19 May 2003
Well, it did not go as well as the first part. First of all the storyline is thin and secondly action is the bulk. I did not enjoy it as much as the first. Let me compare it with the first and rate it.

1) The very concept of Matrix captured the storyline and Neo was the essence of Matrix, that gave a solid foundation for the story, it really did a great job. But I feel it had more to tell. They could have done a better job when focussing on Zion, somehow it did not seem the most important aspect of the film. Also Neo should have been put in the apprenticeship, it would have been amazing to seem him become the master a bit later or even the end of the movie, it would have given a sense of vulnerability and made it more exciting.

2) Action seemed to fill in places most of the time.It was fantastic seeing the explosions, but we did experience most of it in the first part, nothing new out here.

3) Hats off for the special effects, i did enjoy the agent smith versus Neo fight a lot. The guy's tone and attitude is great entertainment.

But my guess is the Matrix Revolutions has much to offer than this film, hope it does not disappoint like this one. I mean its a good movie, but not as good as the Matrix.
