An error has ocurred. Please try againNote: If someone is listed on here and you see a date of death on their IMDB page that is because their passing was not widely reported until well after their death.
Please know that sometimes someone may pass away and their passing may not be reported on IMDb (or in the national media) for several months (or sometimes even years) after their passing. I wish to sincerely thank the families that get in touch with me to let me know that their loved ones have passed away when it is otherwise unknown and unreported in the media.
For a complete list of all of the living cast members (credited and uncredited) that appeared in "Gone with the Wind" please see this list: http://www.imdb.com/list/ls038381152/. I created the "Gone with the Wind" list over a year ago, and it has been updated as of March 2017. There aren't any known crew members living (besides 1 possible child extra), however if there were I would have included them on that list.
Over the years I have been in touch with nearly everyone on this list. They are all wonderful people and very talented actors.
Sadly, none of Joan's co-stars from any of her movies from the '20s and '30s are living. Although it was not a starring role, the last known living actor that appeared on film with Joan prior to the '40s was Mary Carlisle who was in "Grand Hotel". Miss Carlisle passed away in 2018 at the age of 104.
Note: (This goes for all of my lists of surviving people.) - If you see someone on my list and they have passed away that is because their passing was not reported until well after August 2021 (even if the date is before then, it is because it was retro dated with the date they passed away, not with the date that it was reported – which sometimes could be months or even years after they have passed away). Many deaths of retired actors go unreported and I try my best to be up-to-date because it is important that this information remain accurate. I respectfully ask the families of these celebrated people to help by reporting the passing of their loved ones online if it has not been done yet or if there is not a public obituary.
With the passing of Ms. Olivia de Havilland at the age of 104 on July 26, 2020 sadly there is no one living that had a main part in the film.
Over the years I have been in touch with many of the people on this list and I wish to sincerely thank them for their involvement in what is the greatest moving picture ever made.
I used my “Gone with the Wind” Blu-ray sets, as well as various books on the classic to compile this list. I have also been in touch with some film preservation organizations for reference and assistance in putting this list together.
Not all of the information for the people on this list is correct on IMDb so please be sure to read the notes that I have included which have been updated as of March 21, 2022.

Life with Lucy (1986)
Keep on saying 'Yes I can'
It's unfortunate that the stars that we love and grew up watching don't always end their careers on a high-note. There are many reasons for this and the reason why I think this show never caught on was perhaps because audiences didn't give it a chance. Lucy was loyal to her TV audience for more than thirty years and she was not going to change her formula at all and I have to respect her for that because she was a comedy genius. Instead, she plays the same character that we all grew up watching. It is a fun, funny and delightful sitcom if you appreciate Lucy. I love the Lucy character and everything she did and even if I wasn't a big Lucy fan I think I would enjoy this series as well. Because Ms. Ball wasn't just funny, she was hysterical and she defined the art of slapstick and was a wonderful actress as well because she could do drama and make the best facial expressions. "Life with Lucy" included some great episodes and guest star (such as the late and exceptionally talented John Ritter) as well as Ms. Ball's veteran co-star Mr. Gale Gordon. The series also includes a fabulous theme-song and an exceptional supporting cast. This is The Queen of Comedy's swan song and it deserves a place on DVD. Like many fans, I anticipate and look forward to getting the complete series of "Life with Lucy" once it comes out on DVD.
