Finding Nemo (2003)
good film
i just saw this a few days ago and i thought it was very good. the visuals were top notch, good storyline, not too sappy, and some good jokes *spoiler* like the whale speech part. *more spoiler ahead* its basically about a father who is looking for his son after he got caught by some scuba divers, and he meets a lot of people, excuse me, FISH along the way, like some sharks who dont eat fish. I like this film alot and i hope i can get it when it comes out on dvd. not the best *animated movie i watched this year( those honors would go to Spirited away)but still a good one u gotta see. 8 and 3/4 out of 10
Mononoke-hime (1997)
amazing movie...
When i first rented this movie, i had very low expectations, thinking it would be some other dumb anime that I've seen. Was I ever wrong! Princess Mononoke (also known as Mononoke Hime) way passed my expectations! The animation was astounding, the music leaves you sitting dazed in your seat, and the characters are fairly well made. It is number two on my anime list, and I recommend it to most people (unless you feel like your going to throw up at the sight of blood. Pretty darn bloody, including decapitation.) 10/10.
Tenkû no shiro Rapyuta (1986)
one of miazakis best!
This was my fifth miazaki movie i've seen, and personally, it's one of is best. I had very high expectations, cuz hey, it's studio ghibli, and i thought the first half was sorta boring but it started getting really good and exciting once they got to Laputa (you should see the design of Laputa). It was only after i started watching it again that i noticed that could not appreciate the beginning it was meant for. I would only wait for good action and reard the rest as "boring." The characters are well developed, and it is overall well paced, though the scene where pazu and sheeta are floating down after falling off the rails might look familiar. An overrall wonderful film, and no. 2 on my list.
10/10
Jibeuro (2002)
pretty good, but GEEZ! That kids so annoying!
I saw this movie a few weeks ago in my korean school, and thought it was pretty good. I had just recently found out that it was out in theatures. The grandma is a simple, loving mute and deaf grandmother, forced to take care of her daughter's whiny son. The boy does everything to annoy his grandmother, making me (and others, i bet) to smack that annoying brat upside the head and give him a good kick. Overall, it is an okay movie, but nothing i'll remember all my life. 7/10
Majo no takkyûbin (1989)
great movie for everyone!
Like other miazaki movies, such as spirited away, mononoke hime, and my neighbor totoro, this one is also excellent. Some might think this movie is a little slow paced, but those who think that just cant appreciate the quite beauty of the movie in which was probably intended. Spirited away is still my favorite but this movie comes in close.
Sen to Chihiro no kamikakushi (2001)
a masterpeice!
This movie is probably my most favorite anime movie that I have, or ever will see. The beginning started out a little slow, but once it got a quarter of the way, it totally locked onto my mind. The music alone was breathtaking, not to mention the artwork, story line, and the characters. I'm going to buy it once it comes out, so I can watch this amazing movie over, over, and over again. Rent it, buy it, whatever it is, YOU HAVE GOT TO SEE THIS MOVIE! 10/10
