The Sixth (2024)
1/10
Democrat Propaganda
8 May 2024
Warning: Spoilers
This "attack" scenario was ginned up by the liberal Democrat, D. C. swamp machine in an attempt to ruin DJT's chances of winning a third presidential election. Yes, he did win the second time but was stolen by Democrat tomfoolery, a la counterfeit mail-in ballots and digital vote tampering.

This is such a one-sided hit piece. I am no longer shocked by the depth of the liberals irrationality. Trump Derangement Syndrome is legit and they have an infinite amount of it.

By all means though, watch this documentary. Anyone thinking of watching this should review all available security camera footage of January 6th that's been released to the public before forming any opinion.

Roadkill (I) (2024)

Fresh roadkill?
8 January 2024
When I first saw the hitchhiker at the beginning of the movie I thought, 'oh, cool. Dave Grohl is taking some time away from Foo Fighters and branching out into acting. I wish it had been the rock band's frontman. He could've been the secret axe murderer who is found out near the end is killing everyone with an electric guitar. The actor that actually played the drifter was a yawn at best. One dimensional. His character needed layers and wasn't given any. Not much onion to peel back.

Carmichael played the lead character and was able to give the role some texture. Once you get past the notion that this movie isn't a low budget T&A horror flick (no money in the budget for T&A), you then immerse yourself into what Carmichael's character is undertaking in her current adventure.

It didn't seem as if the LEOs (law enforcement officers) knew any cop procedures. I've watched countless hours of cop video on YouTube and these "TV" cops didn't seem realistic. I've watched perps fight with cops as handcuffs are being put on them. Sometimes it takes three or more cops to get cuffs on the criminal, even females.

Finally, I want to say the waitress gives the most authentic scream I've heard in a long time in a horror/thriller flick. Kudos to her.

A whole lot of nothing!

Warning: Spoilers
I read all the user reviews and most of them were 9 or 10 out of 10?! How? One possible answer is a lot of the crew asked friends to log in and give it a great review.

This movie tried waaaaay too hard to be a Blair Witch ripoff with aliens instead of a witch. Not only was I not scared, I was getting bored. Too many fade-ins from black, audio only. Weak script. Terrible acting.

The friend who came over and wanted to pee in the bushes...? He confronts the "man" standing in the field. He comes back disoriented and spits up black stuff. Cut to another scene. We never see him again. No mention of what the black goo was or if the guy was alright. Did he die? Did his wife put him in a car and rush him to the emergency room? Don't know. That was not deemed important enough to put in the script. Dumb.

How about when the hypnotherapist comes out to hypnotize the main guy? What happened there during his hypnosis shouldn't have rattled the therapist. Her job would have been riddled with patients over the years that unconsciously emoted based on past experiences - yelling, crying, laughing, begging, screaming, etc. And yet, the main guy, Sean, his actions sent her running for the exit. She did, however, remain cool-headed enough to grab her sippy cup before she walked out of the house to get in her car.

Hopefully they don't get greenlit for a sequel. If this is available free on Netflix, then watch it if you're needing background noise to fall asleep on the couch. Does not fall under my criteria for entertainment.

Excellent story!

I have watched this movie about a dozen times. It still moves me to watch how two brothers from a terrible upbringing manage to grow up and how their lives were shaped from the different paths taken.

There's only one small gripe I have and that's with editing of scenes. When Tommy first sees his dad again and they go inside his dad's house. The conversation is kind of choppy because in one angle Tommy has already sat down in the Lazy Boy and cut to him back standing up talking to his dad. I've rented this movie and finally bought a copy (actually 2) and for a movie that was nominated (and won, I believe) best editing, I'm disappointed that this scene was put together badly. This detail is a minor distraction and the movie plot doesn't suffer because of it.

The other pirate booty
23 September 2016
Warning: Spoilers
I think it's just grand that everyone explores their deepest, darkest desires. Women on women, guys crossing swords in more ways than one. They've even mentioned one lad who buggered a goat. That'll put a shiver in your timbers!

I'm holding out hope that by the time I get to season 4 that the pirates have expanded their operation, rounded Tierra del Fuego and on up to the Galapagos Islands where, short of a whore's tent, they manage to corner one of the great turtles and diddle him right out of his shell!! Thar's the true gold, lads!

One thing is for sure, just when you think you've figured out where the plot is headed, it tacks back in the opposite direction. I have seen double-crosses and even triple-crosses which leaves my jaw hanging more slack as this show progresses.

I would like to see more sailing, fighting, and pirating on future shows. I also would like to see an honest chick fight. Not swords mind you, but a real hair-pulling, slapping and punching, clothes-tearing brawl from the bar to the beach!
