Doctor Who: Journey's End (2008)
Wow!!!!
This finale took my breath away on every level, the writing, the story and the music was epic. Everyone played a part that was key and the Daleks reached a new level in evilness. This episode had everything highs lows unexpected twists and was so well constructed that the story dragged you kicking and screaming to every level finally ending and allowing you to get your breath back. This was difficult to write without spoilers but I am jealous of everyone who sees this for the first time. In my humble opinion this is quite simply the best doctor Who ever. And I want to add this actually bought a tear to my eye. Brilliant writing Russel T Davies take a bow. Murray Gold you also surpassed yourself. Sir.
No Time to Die (2021)
Disappointing end
Thought the years I have enjoyed the razzmatazz of who is going to be the next James Bond and People approved or disapproved this film looks like it is bringing that to an end. James Bond had 007 after his name and he always introduced himself as "the name is bond, James Bond". I presume next time it wi be the name is seven, double oh seven. I love James Bond films looks likes this will be my last as the filmmakers start looking to introduce the next politically correct 007.
Into the Night (2020)
Accidental watch but surprisingly good
First of all as other reviewers have stated leave the plot holes to the side. I found this enjoyable and thrilling and well worth a watch the characters are engaging and you to follow all of them. However the air miles they are clocking up is amazing. Great show highly recommended.
Last and First Men (2020)
What is this?
It looks like this has been made by a hippy on lsd. Awful and self indulgent rubbish. My one regret I have to give this a one star
Adolf Hitler: The Greatest Story Never Told (2013)
They would have made Jesus look eveil
Never seen such an appalling tissue of lies it was full of contradictions and clear lies. They called auschwittz a POW camp. This person would have made Jesus look evil and Francis of Assisi a vivisectionist. They justify the ill treatment of people by comparing to events in the Middle Ages, that is the justification of what they did. Disgusting
Creepshow (2019)
A proper blast from the past
Just seen the 1st episode and the feeling of the old comic genre is so well done it transports you to another time. Two stories in the 1st episode each as different and original as each other. The first one was a Stephen King story and the second showed incredible imagination and skilful story telling. I highly recommend can not wait for further episodes
Back to the Future (1985)
This is possibly the greatest adventure
I have watched this again and again. My words can not do justice to this film a time travelling adventure that has everything and Michael J Fox is incredible as were the other actors
The Shape of Water (2017)
Utter rubbish
This is a truly poor movie. It's the creature from the black lagoon. This strikes me as a film where a director feels based on his reputation can put anything to screen make it arty and get the luvvies gushing. I have to give this one star and zero is not available. Is it a spoiler to say this is rubbish?
2012 (2009)
Pure adventure
So love this film have watched it many times. Each time delivers excitement and adventure. It does what it says on the tin a truly honest to goodness adventure
Avatar (2009)
The greatest film ever
I wont go into plot details, I will just tell you my feelings about this film, because it is so powerful I wanted to share this. I have now seen this film twice. The 1st time I saw it I rang my eldest son he asked me what I thought of it, I see many films love the cinema, my response was simple, It was the greatest film I have ever seen. He saw it the next day, I asked him what he thought he said the same. The 3d is stunning the story while simple is emotive during the film you are fully engrossed by the characters and their inter-relationships, it fully captivated me. I am going to see it for a 3rd time at the IMAX. My only fear is that I now expect even more from my cinematic experiences in the future. This is a classic and another brilliant film from Mr Cameron
