Shingeki no Kyojin: The Dawn of Humanity (2022)
Peak Cinema
I think we can safely disregard the fact that we're taking about an anime here. Attack on Titan has reached such a grandiose level of entertainment, that you rarely see in any form of cinema today.
The episode begins as if something's not alright. Seeing the main character's expressionless face in this although"happy go lucky" episode and the unsettling narration by Yui Ishikawa just fuels up the pacing of the episode. Some uncanny valley feeling i tell you. We get numerous call backs to the initial episode, except the sides are now switched. Who is right? Who is wrong? We also finally get the answer of how the main protagonist gets to where he is now and the reasoning behind it. Some exceptionally gruesome scenes that leave you speechless all eluding to this nothing short of a jawbreaking finale. MAPPA delivers a truly horrifying spectacle, in a scale you truly don't see on any other anime. The steaks have never been higher. The storytelling... never better. This anime will go down as history regardless of how it ends. The team that works on it is truly giving their best and I can't wait to see the rest! Thank you MAPPA, WIT STUDIO and Isayma!
Shingeki no Kyojin: Memories of the Future (2022)
This show shines with it's story more than anything else!
First of all a big thank you to Grisha's VA. What an immense work. Completely stole the show!
The revelations make complete sense and i think we can finally have our "three eyed raven". It is very rarely where a show ties all of it's mysteries so well and manages to surprise you even after you thought you've seen the best of it. I can't wait to see what's coming.
And ingenious writing that should definitely be taught in schools!
Shingeki no Kyojin: Children of the Forest (2021)
Mouths wide open every episode
Is it going to be the fantastic action sequences? The incredible art and music? The astounding voice actors? Or the magnificence of the storytelling? Attack on Titan continues to make us suffer and shock with every episode. As an anime-watcher only i am beyond excited as what is being cooked up for the next episodes. Truly a magnificent show!
Shingeki no Kyojin: A Sound Argument (2021)
Shocking revelations episode after episode
Let me just begin by saying that this is episode 69, airing on 14th of February.
Attack on Titan doesn't drop the steaks even if there is no action, and to be fair this is where the show shines the most - storytelling and dialogue. The continuing is amazing, with every episode passing we are revealed what happened in the past episodes and it's honestly astonishing how everything is well connected and makes sense! AoT doesn't seem to be slowing down in quality and i'm ready for it! The suffering is real!
Shingeki no Kyojin: The Other Side of the Sea (2020)
I had no idea what was happening, but it was awesome nonetheless !
MAPPA didn't disappoint ! SnK is back and it's more incredible than ever. The VA's , the art and especially the music were superb!
The episode had none of the main characters and seemed like a totally different anime yet it kept you on the edge of the seat and was still very meta . Slowly yet surely escalating towards the explosive ending . I can't wait for more!
Mr. Robot: Hello, Elliot (2019)
Breathtaking conclusion.
Emotional, daring, gut-wretching, satisfying. A technical and theatrical masterclass which definitely will be studied for years and years to come.
Mr.Fobot set a breaking point of cinema, defining the genre itself. Wrapping up the decade we saw countless of mind-bending movies, focused on social problems and ideas that directors rarely decided to portray, yet Sam Esmail managed to raise awareness with such a craft, that leaves a mark in you for eternity.
Mr.Robot is a classic, and one of the most ambitious and daring cinematic projects of our lifetime.
Goodbye, friend.
Mr. Robot: eXit (2019)
It all makes sense now!
First of all may i say the acting of the two was phenomenal!
Secondly my own guess is that this is all an endless loop. This is a totally different reality (the current one).
Just remember where it all started. Elliot doesn't remember his sister (an only son in new reality) ECORP(FCORP in new reality) (5/9 hack 5/9 door open so he goes back to his current reality(HIS CHOICE as WR said), 5,9 magniture earthquake on Washingtown Township. In the end he meets himself in te new reality to restart again. Then we'll prolly get a 6/9 DCORP and so on .. who knows.
Point is Sam Esmail is a genius. Rami Malek, BD Wong, Christian Slater did a fantastic job in the episode, Mac Quayle's tone was perfectly set and the cinematography and tone were perfect as always. I cannot wait for next week!
Honestly this show is a masterclass in any aspect!
Mr. Robot: 407 Proxy Authentication Required (2019)
" i see you now"
I swear this show is gonna give mean anxiety disorder. Remembwr s3Ep4? And then ep5? .. and now comes this masterpiece to triumph them all. The acting and the mood were top notch, the cinematography is yet to be beaten by any other show, and once again social problems were put out on the light in ways we've never seen before. Mr. Robot has truly established itself among the best ever. A thrilling, relating, visual and groundbreaking masterclass that needs to be seen by all!
Mr. Robot: 401 Unauthorized (2019)
Goodbye friend
Sam Esmail continues to successfully break walls and create subtle yet unsettling metas leaving us craving for more.
Mr Robot is back, but it feels entirely different. As if we're now in Mr. Robot's head, not in Elliot's. The whole cinematography seems much more calm, yet chaotic in ways.
Loneliness, anxiety, self-confidence, ruins, death-wish and so much more was portrayed magically throughout the entire episode. The bar has been set high and i can't wait to see what's to come next!
Shingeki no Kyojin: The Other Side of the Wall (2019)
Attack on Titan Season 3 Part 2 set the bar way too high!
It was a beautiful and emotional ending to probably the most epic and mind blowing season so far. Show started with incredible hype and lived up to all expectations, only to find out that we've been blind all this time for what actually the anime IS about, since the clues were all there!
Attack on Titan has proven yet again that it deserves a spot amongst the best of the best animes ever! An upcoming timeless classic to be sure!
Major thanks to the whole team working on it! They've done a fantastic work!
Dark: Enden und Anfänge (2019)
It goes from OH GOD to OH MEIN GOD in 2 seconds.. throughout the entire season!
God bless Germany for this gem that is Dark.
Throughout the last several decades "shocker" and "plot twisr" shows and movies have become super popular, as they stretch the viewer's mind into new adventures into one's mind. Incredible movies such as the "Interstellar", "Inception", "The Butterfly Effect" and most notably "Game of Thrones" technically generalised the genre. Every time you would think of a move shocker and a twist you would think at some moments in those television cinematics.
Dark however takes everything you know about the said genre and throws it into the bin. The writing is so well-done that it manages to create a connecting storyline with over 10 characters and add an emotional depth and connection in between each other that u cannot but relate and experience it from their eyes. It is incredibly hard to adapt any sort of time-travel or space-like drama into TV, let alone keeping you up on the edge of your seat, and it just keeps on giving.
Season 1 was an incredible introduction to the characters, while Season 2 is a full blown Game of Times in action. As if they they purposely slow-paced the first season, so we'd learn the characters and be comfortable with them as S2 raged on.
Every episode was beautifully warped by the end of it with incredible music combined with a twist we totally sod not expect giving us a moment to contemplate what just happened while our subconscious is being drawn by the emotional music.
The ending was as we all expected "unexpected". Rarely there is a cinematic art who's plot as complicated as it is you'd assume at some point what would happen to some of the characters and it always turns out in a completely new and incredible direction.
Dark season 2 is a straight 10 out of 10 and i can't wait for the final season 3!
Shingeki no Kyojin: Midnight Sun (2019)
I've finally witnessed perfection..
I'm crying right now. I'm 24 male and i haven't cried for years... but this thing here - this thing here got stuck in my guts. Most emotional piece of art i've witnessed in my life... drama, dialogue, production, cinematography.. everything was unbelievable ! Thanks to the team who worked on this. It truly made me feel something i haven't experienced in years, Thank you !
