The Bounty Hunter (I) (2010)

Better Than Average Romantic Comedy

The Bounty Hunter was better than I expected it to be. It was a chick flick-- but it was cute. It was definitely different and following the men&women chick flick style from The Blind Side. It actually had some action so it was also similar to Mr. and Mrs. Smith in some scenes which was refreshing, but it also had really CHEESY chick flick scenes especially with cheesy chick flick music. However, it's perfect for girls and a very nice film for a Friday night out with the girls or etc. Jennifer Aniston surprisingly was wonderful in my opinion in this film (as much depth as a screenplay allows in this type of film) while Gerard Butler was Gerard Butler. He wasn't as drop dead gorgeous as he was in The Ugly Truth, but good enough with hilarious moments. Definitely a romantic-comedy not to be missed for Jennifer Aniston or Gerard Butler fans. Amazing chemistry between these two.

Kick-Ass (2010)

Surprisingly Kick Ass-- Very Hilarious

Saw this at an advanced screening today. Saw Kick Ass. It wasn't as good as I expected it to be but I expect it to be very popular. It is as good as the Hangover to comic book fans. Even if you don't like comic books it is pretty hilarious-- really hilarious. It is a tad bit vulgar but perfect for teens and young adults. Also, it is very similar to Tarantino and Taxi Driver, except more.. Hollywood. It's a bit different. Nic Cage is the same as ever. I didn't like Mintz-Plasse (McLovin) in this film, it wasn't quite his character. But I loved Hit Girl. It was like the director watched tons of comic book movies and tried to imitate the style but missed a bit as in there were moments when the film dragged. AMAZING fight scenes though like Repo Men.

I think Hit Girl will soon have a very big fan club though. I believe in Hit Girl. (:
