Mr. Nice (2010)

Met my expectations!
14 February 2011
I have read a great deal about Howard Marx over the years and watched this film in the hope that it would meet my expectations and I was not disappointed. The film sticks pretty well to the book "Mr Nice" and although the book contains much more detail about the man & the events of his life, I thought the film did pretty well in giving you a accurate synopsis.

In all if you have a liking for the "herb" then I would say that this film will give you an incite to an era that has now gone by. Portraying the romantic image that we all have of the 60's & 70's but illustrating the price that Howard payed in his chosen profession. Personally think I'll stick to the daily grind of 9 to 5!

Better than the last
8 October 2009
I enjoyed this much more than the last film. I have read the books and as ever I would have done things a bit differently but this is a good movie for anyone who is a Harry Potter fan.

The usual suspects return to Hogwarts for their 5th year to continue their schooling but this time the film concentrates far less on this. Harry and his friends once again battle against Lord Voldermort producing fight scenes which lived up to my expectations, with the final fight a spectacular battle.

I love the way Rowling wrote these novels with each one becoming less of a children's book to keep in line with her readers as they became older and this has been reflected well in the movies.

If your a Potter fan you will have already seen this and I hope like myself you enjoyed it. If your not a Potter fan, why not?

Good movie, and well worth a watch
7 October 2009
My friends really wanted to watch this and at first I was dubious but while it isn't "Shaun of the Dead" it is really funny.

One or two of the jokes are telegraphed and as usual with Zombie movies I found myself asking why, oh why, when characters do the most stupid things, while trying to avoid being eaten. Especially towards the end where two characters who have proved very cunning throughout the entire movie loose all of their common sense during the final few scenes. Don't run up to the roof or into the basement, get out of the house!

Not sure that this will ever obtain cult classic status but I would however recommend this to anyone who likes Zombie movies you will not be disappointed, I really enjoyed it.
