Accused (2023)
Great stories.
Finally a new series with great stories and acting. Loved all of the first three episodes. Real thought provoking situations, relevant today. Thought provoking and intriguing. Just excellent. Best new series in years. No typical car chases and police detectives who look like 25 year old models. A strong emphasis on acting skills. I hope this series continues for years. I can truly say I sit totally fixed on the TV while the show is on. The deaf baby episode was especially thought provoking. Makes you really debate in your own mind what is morally right and the internal struggle a parent would go through.
Resident Alien (2021)
Refreshing different!
So bizarre, so interesting, so funny, so different. There will some who don't like it and stick with "The Bachelor " and that kind of mindless dribble that's everywhere on TV. But this show is a GREAT change of pace. A couple of times made me cry with laughter. I hope it keeps it up!
The Wrong Missy (2020)
Why why why?
It looked cute and funny from the trailer. Had great potential to be a fun but 10 minutes in the F Bombs started flying. Why? Is a ton of F Bombs the culture today? What a shame. You could have made the same movie without the profanity and made it family fun.
The Americans (2013)
Finally, a great television series.
I'm not going to spoil any of the episodes so read on. I'm just saying I've been waiting for years for a television series that sets the hook and does not let you go. Very intense, great social issues, Keri Russell is spectacular. I just started "Nashville" the series this year and thought that was the answer, but "The Americans" has bumped Nashville down to number 2. Some of the younger crowd who does not know the 80's, or the cold war between the USSR and the US, might not feel the intensity compared to us who felt the tension of the time - when WWIII felt on the doorstep. The first ten minutes of the series opener was the best ten minutes of any television series opener in history. The pounding music, the action, the mystery, the excitement was unbelievable. I just hope the writers can keep it going for the next ten years.
Ted (2012)
A bomb big enough to blow up Hollywood
Simply the worst movie I have ever seen. This will ONLY appeal to the teen masses who think cuss words are the funniest things on earth, or to IQ's under 60. Stupid plot, I love Mark Walberg but he looks like Mila's father rather than her boyfriend, and terrible acting make for the bomb of the century. Sorry to the idiot masses that have taken over the world. Hollywoods great directors/screenwriters/actors are turning over in their graves. I can't believe a great actors like Mark Wahlberg and Giovanni Ribisi stooped to this crap after all the good work they have done. The only bright point to the whole movie is that Mila looks fantastic.
