Dumbest movie ever
15 February 2024
People save your money and your time. This was the stupidest movie. Both my husband and I looked at each other and said, "That's it?" We kept hoping for more. First off the characters don't even look like they belong in that "era". The dialog and acting is terrible. These people are supposed to be an ancient civilization but the coats they're wearing look modern? The production value looks low and...what more can I say to fill out the six hundred characters? It's so bad I have nothing else to say. Do not waste your time. It's not even good enough for tv. I don't know how this got to theatres. I don't know.

Fun lighthearted comedy

Refreshing. It was a nice, feel good movie that stresses the importance of family. My husband and I are big Sebastian Maniscalco fans and could not wait to go see this movie. It's funny and cute with a nice theme involving his immigrant father and the embarrassing things he does. As an immigrant myself with an immigrant mother, this hit home. It reminds us that our hard working parents taught us by example of how to be hard workers and put family first. It was an enjoyable movie and we laughed and cried. Recommended if you're looking for a light comedy with a family themed message. It does have some coarse language so keep that in mind.

Absolutely Fantastic!
1 May 2023
Warning: Spoilers
We watched this fantastic film at the Dallas International Film Festival in April 2023 when it participated in the festival. The acting was amazing and the story compelling and interesting. This is a must see film. I wasn't aware of all the atrocities that went on in Venezuela. Simon is a young man in the US seeking asylum and through a series of flashbacks we learn of the horrible tortures he endured. In the US he meets a young, law student that promises to help him seek asylum and stay in Miami. Will he get to stay? Will his PTSD get him into trouble and hinder his chances for asylum? Go watch this film!
