Bloodline (2015–2017)

Brilliant ... Ben Mendelsohn makes this

Just watched this on Netflix and wasn't expecting much. It was fantastic and I highly recommend it. The Aussie actor Ben Mendelsohn needs more recognition and plays the Danny character brilliantly. The other actors are great but he is exceptional. He sucks you right in and you truly don't know whether to feel sorry for him or think of him as the bad guy. This is really well written and keep you wanting more after each episode. Right up to the last 2 minutes. I binged watched this and was hooked line and sinker.

There is only a handful of dramas that I would rate this high and I will be recommending this for weeks. I would really like to give it 9.5/10 but had to give it a 9 as IMDb doesn't do half marks. Almost perfect.

Should never have been made

As huge fan of the first Donnie Darko I was very excited to see this. It was such a shame that the original director didn't make this film. The film is trashy and brings nothing new to the table. It take a handful of special effects and concepts from the first one and turns it into a crappy teen flick. The main characters made me cringe and after the first half an hour I thought this is a disgrace to the original film.

This film is not worth wasting your time on. The sad thing is that some people will see this film without seeing the original Donnie Darko. This film should never have been made.
