The Santa Clause 3: The Escape Clause (2006)
Take a chill pill folks. This wasn't meant to be blockbuster sequel. Its just a fun movie
I can't believe what I am reading here. There are some here who said it sucked and some said they won't even go if Bernard isn't in it. It wasn't bad at all. Sure SC1 was great. SC2 was good and SC3 is also good although not as good as SC2. To me, I liked it. I went with my daughter who is older and not a kid anymore but she went with me as she knows I love Christmas movies.
It's not meant to be a Godfather II for crying out load. It's a kids Christmas movie. I bet some of those who didn't like it will like it next year when it is out on DVD.
I thought it was cute.
After seeing so many Santas in the movies I would have to say that Tim Allen is one of the best. It didn't seem to me that he rushed through it. To me it looked like he enjoyed doing the movie. Same as the 1st two. He looked like he had a lot of fun making it.
Now, if you want a bad chapter 3 Christmas movie to gripe about - take a look at Home Alone III.
Mars Attacks! (1996)
Don't listen to the naysayers - this is a good one!
Don't listen to the critics here on this site on this one. It is hilarious! What Burton is doing here is making fun of the sci-fi outer space movies he saw as a kid. It is suppose to be a kooky film. All of the actors were in this movie not to make a cinematic statement or make a 'movie of the year' but to just have fun. And it worked. There are tons of funny lines in this movie. Like when the Martians are shooting at the people but they are broadcasting 'don't run, we are your friends' Or the couple in the trailer park loading up their guns to fight the Martians and the wife says 'they aren't getting our TV!'
This is just supposed to be a harmless funny movie and it should be taken at face value. I bought the DVD and watch it every couple of years and it never fails to make me laugh. I highly recommend it.
Say One for Me (1959)
Very good and underrated move
It's a shame this movie is not available in VHS or DVD. Very good acting by Ray Walston and Debbie Reynolds. Same solid acting and singing from Bing Crosby as he always gives. Why the critics panned this one is beyond me. Robert Wagner displayed very good singing and acting skills in this one and with all due respect to Debbie Reynolds in this one she was "hot". It's also a treat to see a very young Stella Stevens. All in all a good feel good movie. I highly recommend it.
