Why on earth does this show get so high scores???
29 July 2021
Warning: Spoilers
I made it half way into season 1, realized the story is so full of plot holes, that it is unwatchable. I read that the story evolves. But seriously?

The tech is worst - totally stupid, it is clear that the writers has no idea about computers, transactions and generally how things work. So, had the episodes just left out the ridiculous stuff around that, plothole-o-meter would have gone down to 50%, instead of staying at 100% almost constantly the first 5 ep. I mean, the girl brings even 19" racks with here, but still it is all connected through wifi? And - security for someone actually trying to start a bank (btw the stupid transactions - don't get me started!!!). And when the hacker starts, they actually have time to go home before attack is over, and still decides not to disconnect the wifi, since this also disconnects the desktop that the girl oversees that they are loosing money.

Would it not have been better to save the remaining millions instead?

I could go on forever, and ever.

It is sad, since I really think the backbone is interesting, the actors are pretty good (up til what I seend S1 ep 5) (well, the coders should at least try to learn to look like they know how to write on a keyboard). Also the scenery is also good. Maybe a re-write adding _some_ realism into the story? I can't stand one more minute of this garbage.

Wow, I did not expect this!

With the low rating and reviews all over the place, I did not expect much when I decided to see this movie.

Perhaps I am therefore giving it one more star than it deserves, but this is easily one of the best films I have seen the last couple of years. Everything connects together - the weaved in mini-stories, the elegance of the picture and the music, and as you would expect, the cast does a tremendous performance.

I did not have one dull moment in this film, but understand is first and foremost a very honest beautiful drama of life/people, not so much a comedy.

I does not get much better than this.

Morons on camera

So nothing's like a good zombie movie, right? Right! But this is not it. There's absolutely no logic in this movie, but I was bored and actually saw the first 4 (i think) episodes before giving up. By then I just wanted the characters to be killed by the zombies, as they where all imbeciles except for the guy with the gun. Lot's of cheesy situations and lines.

No! While zombie movies does not have to be super logical, we the audience deserve at least a basic level of logic, and we don't want to follow imbecilles. Sorry. This series is impossible to finish.

You can't go wrong choosing any other series over this one, stay away!

Better than the book...
18 August 2018
I randomly started to see this series one night, not knowing that I had read the book. Probably partly because of Amy Adams. The acting is great from the whole cast, and the story is much better than the book in keeping the "who did it" less obvious - in the book it did not take too long to connect the events, and from then on, it was just a transport. Because of this, I did not find the book very good. I'm wrting this review because of this - it is very rare, that the movie/series is better than the book.

Poor treatment

Warning: Spoilers
For my life, I cannot understand the good reviews of this awful film. How is it possible to see behind the unbelievable plot, really - getting erection enough to rape their own sons, while drugged, dehydrated for days, forced by a lunatic with a knife? Come on! Add the stupid police work - everyone running around alone, not taking notes or reporting in, just follow their own nose. Crime scene? No worries, just everyone poke around as they see fit! Weird psycho digging in garbage cans found by the police in the park where they are looking for a boy and a psycho - no worries, this cannot be the psycho we are looking for, since he's alone without any boy. The lead(?) investigator, half insane, bad tempered also runs around, does not listen to clues, does not do serious work at all. Why on earth did he randomly stop and "interviewed" the second victim? Which, by the way couldn't even try to pull the little pipe off the wall, but could carve through the floor, the thinnest floor in history arriving into a spotlight mounting which would have set the whole house on fire within hours.

No, this was a crap movie, it does not get much more stupid than this. The only thing I cannot fault, is the acting.

No! It cannot be worse than this.
13 June 2016
Well, I was warned about this movie, but how bad can it be? I mean it has a lot of fairly talented actors...

Turns out it was pretty bad.

There's nothing believable what so ever in this movie, and the CGI is a good laugh at best. Since all is so bad, I cannot even pick out a specific sequence that it worse, just a line full of stupid stupid stupid cliche's. Maybe the screen writers and director are babies? No - it turns out that they went to uni, and at least one is a member of Mensa. How is this possible? They should just be ashamed of themselves.

Oh, and there's no spoiler in this review, but no one needs a spoiler to tell the outcome of this trash.

Oh Dear..
31 January 2015
I certainly had my expectations set too high for this movie, generally I tend to like English comedies, but this story where too far fetched.

Had it not been for the constant bickering/quarreling between the parents amplified by the annoying kids, I probably would have given it a better rating. But does really people want to see disconnected family troubles as a comedy? I certainly do not, this movie just presented me with depressing thoughts about humanity. My take; the parents should have gotten a divorce long before the story takes place in the film, and instead concentrated on parenting the kids.

Regardless of the the unbelievable/unlikable characters, acting was good, and it is obvious that they tried hard overcoming the poor script.

Much better than expected
19 July 2014
I set out seeing this with the assumption that it would be the normal romantic comedy that we have seen 1000's of (I don't mind seeing them, I like most kinds of comedy, as long as it is not too childish), but it was not. Some reviewer are giving low scores because of no depth of characters, plot holes etc etc, but come on - did you really expect that from this kind of movie? This (kind of-) movie is like a simple action movie, you must not expect too much realism, it is simply made for making you laugh. I know I did.

Thankfully, this movie is not so much about revenge which has been so many times, but rather about the development of the odd friendship between the ladies and their conspiracy towards the man in the film, Mark, played by Nikolaj Coaster-Waldau.

Cameron Diaz is actually rather good in her role, and her character Carly's way of dealing with the situation is quite refreshing (trying to just walk away). Leslie Mann is hilarious and together they pulls through the movie. Kate Upton does not bring much to the movie though, but her role is also of a lesser part of the movie.

I'm putting a 8, maybe it only deserves a 7.

No, this was not fun

Warning: Spoilers
This movie a comedy?? Thriller?? No, this is rather a tragedy - a sad thing about a couple chasing money by hurting themselves and others just to profit and for their own greed. After which they buy a big house and expensive car just to impress on their stupid (not even friends) former classmates in school.

The directing is OK, and also acting. But the story is so thin and like someone else wrote, you know exactly whats coming as soon as the pot is introduced into the picture - this makes it also a boring tragedy. At this point you instead starts to become irritated by the main characters stupidity, and the stupid story. I haven't seen the short story from which I guess this movie origins from, but I'm sure the short story has it all and in 22 minutes, which sounds more tolerable.

Stays away at all cost.

Funny? No. Joke? Yes!
19 January 2013
No, I did not make it through the whole movie.

When I saw this movie, it had a rating of 7.7 - pretty good for a comedy, and a great cast - so I thought I was in for a treat. How wrong I was! Sure, I was tired when I started to watch it, and rapidly getting more tired as the movie (did not) progress.

I really don't get this movie, had it not been for the gore, I think an audience of 10 y.o. would be appropriate. Come on! Is this where it has come to?

Meaningless, stupid & silly... Leaving the movie one hour in was the highlight of it.

Stay away if you have a brain and want to have a laugh.

Should have known better..

Nothing new under the sun. This movie made me yawn more than twice. We meet two friends that accidentally switches body, one stupid looser and one less stupid (lawyer). Being 'switched' they decide to stand in for each other, and does one stupid thing after another - I mean can anyone relate to the looser? The looser somehow pulls himself together and by the end of day two(?) seams to have grasped everything about the big business merger/takeover that his friend had been working for in months and becomes the hero. Someone wrote that this is adult humor? Adult? Humor? Stupid, stupid film. Had it been made some 30 years ago, I'd be more forgiving, but today?

The score of two goes to the fact that the actors are good looking, and does what they can with the awfully boring script.
