Not that much of a let down
6 October 2023
I enjoyed it way more than I thought that I would. I had low expectations and didn't walk into the theater expecting anything near the original. The plot was good and a bit different from a lot of other exorcists movies, but the very little part of the plot that had a connection with the original could easily be removed and it wouldn't make a difference.

The effects were good, but I think that scenes where someone throws up dark stuff looks better in IMAX than it would at home. It is a horror film and apart from a few jump-scares it wasn't scary, but the movie gave a creepy vibe and that was my expectation.

Shout out to the cast, especially the girs that made a great job.

Less is more...
8 September 2023
Warning: Spoilers
Please don't hand another conjuring-project over to Michael Chaves again. He slaughter them.

This movie is officially the worst movie in the Conjuring universe so far. Everything were to much and at some point I started to think about what I would do when I got home since we all know that Maurice still would be possessed by Valak at the end of the movie.

There were too much special effects, it would have been better to just keep some scenes simple. The scenes that were suppose to be scary either gave away to much before hand or were dragged out before the scare came that the suspence went away. It was a shame, some of them had potential.

The actors did great job, I thought that the plot were okay and it had potential.

I have to mention that the magazine-scene were really cool. Very well done.

Got what I expected
10 July 2023
I thought the movie were pretty good and just what I expected. I didn't go to see the movie and expected it to be as good as the first ones, but I think Patrick Wilson did a great job with this movie.

I got some of the dragged out jump scares, the creepy feeling that something going to happen were definitly there and over all a scary movie worthy it place in the franchise.

I thought that the storyline were really clever and interwines with the first two movies very well and I think the writers had some of this plotted out long before it was a story because it fits so well.

Overall a great job and I'm looking forward to more movies from Patrick Wilson.

It's just felt wrong
24 August 2022
I am, like many others, a fan of the books and I almost didn't wanna see this movie because the book contains a lot of things that make the book emotional and hard to read. After Ever Happy is suppose to make you feel like you ship Hardin and Tessa at the same time as you want then to break up and I never got that feeling.

I did have emotions while watching the movie, but they were more in line of anger towards the person who held the knife while slaughtering the book before writing a script.

Kinda okay
16 August 2021
I just picked something random and it was under the documentary genre so thought it was a real one.

I thought it was a little odd and it took me 20 minutes to actually search for it to see if it was real.

I thought it was okay, I might not recomend it to others - but didn't feel like waste of time.

Not all the way there
4 June 2021
The first half were really building up to something that felt good, but when the secont part came it just rushed and they could easily added 15-20 minutes to the story.

Thought that it were pretty funny to cast "John Winchester" (Supernatural) as Gerry Fenn, a guy seeking unusual things and were rooting for the Impala to drive up. And I know I'm not the only one.

Missed something major
4 June 2021
I don't get scared easily and the least I expected out of this movie were some of the gut feeling that something is about to happen that James Wan loved to drag out in the current Conjuring-movies.

Good acting, effects, setting... but without James Wan it really didn't matter.

If there will be a forth film - please hire someone with more than a Billie Eilish-video and the worst of the "Conjuring-universe" movies on the resume.

Snoozefest
19 April 2021
It took me four times to get past 45 minutes and I was so bored. I watch as many Oscar-nomines as possible every year and the only thing I can say about this movie is that Riz Ahmed did a really good job. It can't be easy to ignore sounds around you that you automaticly react to.

Every girl needs a Cassie in their life!
19 April 2021
I have two things to say about this movie to sum it up: Girlpower and that I hope this movie is like a kick between the legs of all the guys out there and for them to learn a simple question: do you want to do this?

Carey Mulligan did an excelent job playing Cassie. How dark this movie might be, it's sadly not an uncommon thing for guys to take advantage of drunk girls or trying to report a sexual assualt and not be believed or have your case in some pile untoutch.

It's an important movie about femenism and something every single woman out there are afraid of.

Pure horror
20 December 2020
I am speachless after this documentary. How can the adults live with themselves after acting like this? It's terrifying how they sympatice for someone that killed someone else for showing unwanted affection. I really hope that people learn from this so people can feel the freedom of being themselves without fear.

Really bad. Waste of time.
7 September 2020
Henning Mankell would roll over in his grave if he saw this. Even if he didn't have anything to do with this people will link him with this terrible series since they pretty much just named the lead Kurt Wallander. It started okay and just went really bad. Had to watch three real Wallander-movies to shake this disaster off.

It's pretty good if you don't think of it as a Wallander-movie
6 September 2020
When I put it on I just saw the name Wallander and a picture of Adam Pålsson - two things I like, what could go wrong? From the first few minutes I started to think "It can be good even tho it's not in Swedish", "It can be good even tho Adam's accent sounds so bad when every one except him speaks brittish", "It can be good even tho it's in Malmö and not Ystad"... and so on. But then I stopped thinking about it as a Wallander-movie and it's actally pretty good when you stop comparing it to the originals. No one will ever be a better Wallander than Krister Henriksson so stop expecting it to be.

Better than expected
4 April 2020
I put it on for fun to see how bad it was, but it was actually pretty entertaining. They did a nice twist with the smart home turning against you in the form of a doll. A lot of people are scared of you smart home devices recording your everything and someone is using that information is being turned against you and dolls are always creepy. Now we just hope that Alexa or Google get's a best friend any time soon - or ever.

I am soooo bored...
24 February 2020
It said somewhere that this was one of the best horror movies if 2019 and I think it should be on the worst list. It's so boring and not scary at all. The two stars are for the masks and make up, they are actally very well made.

It smells like an Oscar...
22 October 2019
It felt more like a movie about mental illness than something connected to a superhero universe. This doesn't make it bad, just unexpected. The main thing that bothered me was his age. The Joker will be retired before Bruce become Batman. Also felt like he was a little too stuiped to be able to do the stuff the Joker does. But if you take the thought away from anything you knew about the Joker before watching the movie it was perfection. Joaquin really made you feel pity for the Joker and really made you feel the ups and downs of his character. If he doesn't get an Oscar nomination for this I would be suprised.

Worth every second of waiting...
25 September 2019
Been waiting for this for a while now and it was worth every second. It was brilliant! As a Swede that celebrated midsommar many times I thought that this movie would make us look even more stuiped, we already dance around a pole like frogs once a year. But this movie was intelligent, brutal and everything I expected after Ari's last masterpiece. Even if there were parts when I felt a little bored I would'nt take any scenes away because they needed to be there to make the movie whole. Can't wait to see it again.

It was okay.
17 August 2019
The only thing I will remember from this movie was that Octavia Spencer finally went all out with this roll. She played so many rolls as a short determined stubborn person just waiting to explode and finally she went all in. The story was really bad. The other actors wasn't bad, but not really good either.

It's an okay movie...
24 May 2019
I think the movie was okay. I felt like the movie involved to much thinking about what I just saw that I almost forgot to keep watching or to be focused enough to get scared. If I saw it alone I would paused it like 20 times so I had the time to google everything. I did expect this from Jordan Peele after "Get out", but it felt like "Us" had too many twists to keep up. This might be my tired ADHD-brain talking, but in 20 minutes on google I've read about 9 different theories about what I just saw and I think that we are all asking ourselves what we just saw.

The last 5 minutes was worth it
1 May 2019
Warning: Spoilers
The first episodes was good, then I got bored for a few episodes and thought that I should watch the two remaning episodes when I suffered through the 6 boring ones. I'm glad I did, the last 5 minutes was like BOM! I want more, but it feels like a series about escaping some weired cult is done enough times and should not repeat itself in a second season.

Not a movie for everybody
16 January 2019
Warning: Spoilers
I loved this film, but it's not a movie from everyone. It is a long movie and the story is very draged out, but if you are one of those that appreciates every detail of a movie and not just a movie over all this is a movie for you. I liked that you thought that you knew what was going on and in the end you were so wrong. I thought it was amazing to the last detail. The gore scenes was really cool. I liked that they didn't tried to make it look to realistic and just allowed the blood to shed all over. If you are one of those that appreciate a long and draged out remake of a 70's classic - what are you waiting for, watch it! If you're not one of those you probably have a lot to catch up on, so why not start here?

Not a movie about Queen
1 November 2018
I loved the movie, but I don't think they should call it a movie about Queen when it was mostly about Freddie Mercury. I mean I just saw the movie and I can't even remember the last name of the other three guys in the band. I remember that I looked at my watch half way through the movie to see how much time I had left to enjoy the movie because I wanted more and I still want more. I laugh and I cried, but mostly I just sat with a smile enjoying the movie. I think that Freddie would be honored if he would be able to watch the movie and I think he would like that it's about his music and not his death. I also think Rami was amazing! I never saw the guy playing the hacker Elliot in Mr. Robot dancing around in Freddies outfits and make it look believeble. Rami is a brilliant actor and a perfect Freddie, every move and word in the movie was so thought through. All the hand gestures, covering the overbite with his lips, walking, talking were so believeble. I didn't even think about that it all was just an act because it felt so real. I think that Rami Malek got an Oscar nomination coming his way. Can't wait to watch it again and embrace it all once again.

They should have stopped at three...
21 September 2018
I thought that you couldn't get too much Purge, but this was proof that three was enough. You don't get to know the characters enough so you don't really care what happens to them and then whats the point?

It had so much potential but faild on the way
23 August 2018
This is going to be one weired review. Looked forward to this movie so much. I popped my popcorn, waited until dark and all I felf for the first 80 minutes was boredom. It was so slow. It was a good story, but too slow. You don't put on a horrormovie and wait 80 minutes to get some kind of scary wibe. The only good thing with the slowmotion is that you have time to catch all the little dots that connects it all, but I bet some people missed them because they were thinking about what they would do afterwards because they were bored. The script/story was amazing! All the dots connected and it was easy to catch them all up if you could pay attention the whole time. The acting was really good. Already knew that Toni Collette knew her stuff, but I didn't knew that Alex Wolff could do a role like this so I'm impressed. The effects was really good, the scenery was really good, it was very very nice directed and so on - but still I felt bored. The movie had every potential for a 10/10. Everything with the movie was perfect, but the movie it self were too slow. I would love to recomend the movie to others, but I already know that most of them probably will turn it off within the first hour.
