Silent Warnings (2003)
They say do not judge a book by its cover.....They are so right
Went to my local video store. My wife show mew this film silent warning. The
description in the back looks promising and there are some praise like , will keep you to the edge of your seat and stuff like that that are made by some film critics.
all right ....film rental cost me $1.15 with taxes. The film started with Baldwin that seems to be turning nuts and die while trying to kill something in his corn field. A prelude to what looked like a promising little suspense and spooky film. But
things fell down from that point on.....I did not saw the movie signs but i thought to myself that it must be looking very similar.....Anyhow......Baldwin cousin inherits its house and he decide to go there with his girlfriend and 3 of his friends to put back the house into shape ....during the week they spend
there..They will hear noise , see circle appearing in the corn field, see strange creature shadow and then 2 of them would get kill by the aliens....althought the script was probably very good and so the book if there is one, This movie failed to provide viewer with a good plot and building suspense and scares.
Monty Python and the Holy Grail (1975)
a great film, a brillant send-up of medieval movies and lore
The first feature-length film from Monty Python, the quintet of physically and verbally gymnastic British sketch comics, is not only widely considered their funniest, but one of the funniest films ever committed to celluloid. Known for abruptly ending TV skits mid-stream with the segue "And now for something completely different" -- due both to their distaste for writing endings and their ADD giddiness to move onward -- the troupe finds uncharacteristic continuity here, examining one fertile topic from each of its absurd angles. Yet the movie is still comprised of distinct segments, any of which could serve as a favorite for fans who want to recite the choicest dialogue and make converts of the uninitiated. But for five minutes of sheer uncontrollable hysterics, one need only watch the scene in which Graham Chapman steadily lops the limbs from a foolishly determined knight, who continues issuing taunts even after he's been totally neutralized. Irritated more than threatened, Chapman's King Arthur keeps hacking at the prating cripple just to shut him up -- it's the only sane reaction in this ridiculous world full of delusional windbags. Chapman is a wonderful constant as the frustrated straight man, and his colleagues lob one demented set piece after another "in his general direction." The temptation is to enumerate these clever interludes, but a catapulted cow really needs to be seen to be appreciated. The only time Monty Python and the Holy Grail stumbles is at its sudden ending, a cop-out that's pure Python. Or maybe it's just that any end to such enlightened joke slinging is cause for lament.
In Dreams (1999)
This movie is truly scary and not for the fainted heart
A woman is haunted by dreams of a serial killer. As the dreams progress, she realizes that the killer is actually controlling these visions, psychically. The stylish, surreal dream sequences will chill you to the bone. Just as the plot will keep you on the edge of your seat.
The Silence of the Lambs (1991)
Truly creepy, smart and astoundingly good. This movie deserve the hype
The silence of the lambs earns its prestigious distinction as the third movie ever to sweep the big five at the Oscars. Foster plays young but exceptional Clarice Starling, who in efforts to hunt down a serial killer holding a woman hostage, must interview another such psychopath. The mind of former psychiatrist Dr. Hannibal Lecter is twisted but brillant, and may hold the key to the mind of the man the FBI is looking for...but in order to get at this information and earn his trust, Clarice must use her only bargaining chip: The revelations of her own deepest fears and vulnerabilities. Truly creepy, smart and astoundingly good, this movie deserves the hype... A must see
Final Destination (2000)
Will make you scream and jump off your seat
It has been a while since i saw a good horror movie that gripped me in the stomach and final destination is one of them.
The bus scene will have you jump on your seat. The combination of music and element of surprise are doing a perfect job of making you scream and jump.
This is one of the best movie horror movie i have seen in a very long time
