Slumdog Millionaire (2008)
Seriously ?? 8 Oscars and 8.3 ???
I don't understand why people like this movie so much. It's a s*it of a movie; nothing in this movie is worth watching. I have not read the book but movie; it's just a waste of celluloid. This movie is a serious let down from Danny Boyle, the man directed awesome movie like Trainspotting and here he is with this cr*p. Pi$s poor acting, weird accents, unnatural scenes make the whole movie experience bumpy and somewhat like a torture. The movie looks as if it was created by some hormone flushed teenager with his pals in summer vacation. I get the attraction in the story; a bottom-feeder gets his chance to set the record straight, change to win a million, but there is no way in hell this could happen in real life. This kind of utterly impossible story pooled together with Indian background and Indian actors makes the movie pure torture. In a very cliché way, the only thing I liked was the end and even the end was not that good, they stood in rows, sang and danced in a typical Bollywood style. City of God and this movie? Seriously? There is no comparison! City of God triumphs this one on everything, City of God is down to earth, serious and gives more realistic feeling. It's original too; Slumdog however is exaggerated, it's out there, up in the air. City of God is a like a symphony, it's in perfect, in sync, real, organic; Slumdog – cacophony, out of sync, plastic, unreal. Finally words, the movie does not deserve all the fame and Oscar it got.
House M.D.: Black Hole (2010)
A Good Episode
A good episode, not under-par nor it had anything to remember it by. A straight forward story, no development in the overall story of the series. The thing I missed most was the leg pulling between House and Wilson, they were behaving, no mischiefs and no bets.
Since the episode is named 'Black Hole', there are some special effects about the universe, stars, black hole, planets and stuffs; it was pretty boring and out of context. There was no much air time for Cuddy, another bummer! The episode actually lacked direction and looked like mix of everything. The only thing that kept the episode interesting was the characters and their history.
House M.D.: Instant Karma (2009)
Classic House
The season started with unorthodox episodes and also the ending episodes of previous seasons were different from the classic House routine. Well this episode follows a classic House routine. A patient comes in, there is an initial diagnosis, it seems to make sense, the patient seems to get well, all of sudden the patient crashes and he is about to die in couple of days if House and his team doesn't figure out the correct diagnosis and when all hopes are gone House has an epiphany while he is talking to Wilson and he saves the patient proving once more that he is a genius. But the episode lacks House's sarcasm, him making fun of other people, his tussle with Cuddy. Also, he seems helpful and much more sane and under control.
House M.D.: Epic Fail (2009)
What ???
Is it just me or this episode was too much of Eric Foreman. I watch House to see Dr. Greg House not Eric Foreman!! Foreman struggles to solve the case and House struggles to keep himself busy. With so much little of House being shown in the episode it gets kind of boring in the middle. But if you are a Omar Epps's fan, you will enjoy it. But I was thinking, "am I watching Dr.House or Dr.Foreman!??" But, this is House, you never know what is going to happen. Except too much of Foreman, the episode is actually good and have some unexpected turn of events. House is changed, he is actually bonding with other people.
All in all, good episode.
