Ghosted (2023)
Took a shot with it and I'm glad I did
Honestly i am usually put off by bad reviews and lower than 6 ratings, but took a wild shot with this one and i'm glad I did.
Fun and funny two hour watch, cheesy and corky in several moments, crazy cameos that will have you laughing for no reason.
The bad guys where cliched, the story was done in a million other spy action romance movies. The dialogue wasnt really bad at all and the comedy didnt fall short most of the times especially with Evan's deliveries.
The movie is pretty well paced, of all the bad stuff said about it, boring isnt one of them. Also i didnt find the main charachters to have any lack of chemistry to be honest.
Go watch it if you ever enjoyed a movie by Ana or Chris or both.
Zack Snyder's Justice League (2021)
Lots of "Animations" shoved through the same old poor dialogue
Better than the 2017 version? Absolutely
A much cleaner edit, better scenes depiciting charachter development, pacing and build up. But almost 90 percent of the extra features are animation and cgi so outdated you feel like watching video game cutscenes, and when it comes to the script and dialouge its still as mediocre and unmemorable as ever, with some scenes even just cringy like the post credit two scenes.
A solid good movie, nothing close to being epic or worth a 10 in any way. Its a B+ movie at best and thats expected considering it isnt really a new movie compared to the other one. The mediocre charachters choice by WB and the poor dialogue make it impossible to be emotionally invested in anyway. And during most of the movie it kinda felt like watching a high quality version of 300
The Amazing Spider-Man 2 (2014)
Brings out the true Comic-book Spiderman feel
A very entertaining and gripping mix between "funny comic book superhero" portrayal and heartwarming, serious emotions. This is by far the best Spiderman movie of the five.
Right from the start you begin to realize how in this movie the action scenes are not executed in a dead-serious end of the world manner like the previous spider-man movies, which made me feel more connected to this movie than the others. This is how spider-man should have always been portrayed, unlike superman or batman. Andrew Garfield delivers the role in a very balanced and well done manner yet again. He had the chance to dive deeper into the role in this movie compared to the previous one. The chemistry between him and Emma stone on screen is one of the best aspects of this movie.
Another thing I enjoyed about this movie were the villains, which surprisingly everyone seemed to dislike. The characters in the movie weren't too much in any way, certainly not as much as in the previous Spiderman 3.
Even tho the movie didn't feel like it was something completely new, and doesn't seem to pull off something unexpected or revolutionary (In regards to film making, not Spiderman story-wise) I still felt like it was one of the most engaging and entertaining movies I have seen in a long time
Dexter: The Big One (2010)
Clichéd and cheesy
this whole season was just NOT the Dexter we knew....it changed everything, right from the very nature of Dexter himself, since when does he curl up in a ball or cry? we were all a little bit happy to see our dark vigilante started to find some peace, but that's not how it should have been. Afet four seasons with Rita and the children, all it took was a few kills with a raped girl and now he knew her better than anyone, and she was even making him change??
not to mention one big change this season...fate and luck seemed to be doing Dexter a HUUUGE favor throughout the season, everything falls in place...from him getting an upper hand on his enemies to making a simple escape like it was a tom and Jerry cartoon.
Dexter is my all time favorite show, but season five trashed it, badly....maybe the incoherence throughout the season would have been much easier to forget if the finale wasn't too clichéd and cheesy.
this show had a great four season run, season five took the darkness out of Dexter and it didn't even feel like he was the center of the show anymore, i really hope season six doesn't ruin it anymore cause it will probably be the final season of the show, and i don't want him to go out with such a bad exist...not when he had such a great entrance and a great run for most of it.
Lost: Lighthouse (2010)
Come on already, there isn't much left in the show!!
In short: Slow rather useless episode. I'm starting to get the feeling this is the worst season already...with the whole alternate LA being completely useless and uncalled for. Even if its existence is gonna be an important key in the future (the not so distant future), having it take up half of every episode and making us live the alt-characters life is just not reasonable....unless of course there isn't much else to fill the remaining dozen or so episodes of the show.
But when you think about it, revealing secrets of the past five seasons should take more than just that, and the illusion that we all got that this final season is gonna deliver most anticipated answers in every episode is now slowly dying.
The monster, the numbers, and somewhat an idea of what everyone of the lost is doing on the island have been revealed, along with the inhaler secret...but i must say the answers somehow seemed a lot weaker than our anticipation, and now raising more questions (the lighthouse, Richard's past, the kid running in the jungle) along with old ones (walt, Micheal, what the lost are "watching" like it was said in season three, the "real" truth about the temple and the good-evil war).....i can only get the feeling this show is gonna end in a very disappointing way, crashing down all our anticipation and excitement that has been growing for five years now
Dexter: I Had A Dream (2008)
A mind blowing episode to a rather slow season
The violent turn that Dexter's relationship with Miguel took was totally unexpected. Everyone was asking right at the beginning or the season what on earth was happening in the show, how is dexter turning into a father, friend and husband so quickly...the same man who killed his own brother in a breathtaking scene in season one, and was willing to sacrifice the life of an innocent police sergeant to bail his own ass out in season two??
This episode surely put the whole show back on track, and in as gruesome and as cold blooded as it can get, the way we we're all used to seeing dexter deal with problems: on a table with his problem wrapped in plastic sheets....not in golf games and family funerals. (doubt i will ever question the writers again!) Great episode, best of the season.
