House on Haunted Hill (1999)
Scared the crud outta me!
This movie is really scary (to me, anyway) and very, very gory. I thought the acting was good, but it was obvious from the start which two characters were going to get out alive. Oh, and the best part of the movie is the beginning, with that darn sexy cameraman, played by James Marsters. Overall, I would recommend seeing this flick....but only for a mindless day of fun.
The Pest (1997)
Worst movie ever.
If a friend recommends this movie to you, shoot them. Well, not really, but you should reconsider your friendship. The Pest is, without a doubt, the worst movie I've ever seen. EVER. And before you say "Oh, she just loves chick flicks!", let me say this: I hate chick flicks. I love comedies. But the only funny thing about this movie is that it ever got made.
Wait, I take that back, there are a lot of funny things. It's funny that The Pest is considered a good movie by some people. It's funny that some people find the jokes to be funny, whereas they are incredibly unintelligent and contrived. It's funny that anyone with an IQ over 2 would like this movie. Perhaps it appeals to some, but I simply cannot see why.
I watched this movie when I was in junior high, and even then, I found it to be juvenile and pathetic. In short, never watch this movie. Within the first minute I wanted to strangle the Pest to death and put him out of his misery. Because, truly, it would be misery to star in a movie this horrid.

Flesh-Eating Mothers (1988)
Laughably awful!
SPOILERS!!
This movie is tremendously bad. The burping and chewing noises were stupid, the cartoon virus was stupid, basically, the word to describe this movie is STUPID! I recently watched this film, and just found out today that it was made in '89. The quality of the film was so bad that it looked like it came from the late 60's early 70's.
The acting was so bad that it was hilarious. I had to rewind one scene and show it to my family because it was so laughable. The man says "What. DO. you. mean?" and "That. is. strange." like he is reading his lines off of the script instead of acting. And he isn't just reading his lines, he is reading them flatly (no emotion at all). Oh, and when the man shoots his wife, the dummy of her head looked like the face of a blow-up doll. Yes, the 'special effects' were that awful.
Some of the plot lines made no sense. Like when the sexy teens band together and decide that there mothers are their responsibility, and that they're responsible for their mothers. What?! Why? And the whole 'God is sick of infidelity' junk. It doesn't make any sense that, in order to punish the cheating husbands, he turns the wives (that have had children) into ravenous cannibals. How does that teach the husbands ANYTHING?
Only check this movie out if you have nothing to do and want a chuckle. If you're looking for a good horror movie, look elsewhere.
