Well written, acted, filmed, and scored, I think this lesser budgeted film translates Tesla's life well for the creative mind almost exclusively. It makes me wish that I had met the man if for nothing else than to console him on his ideals and warn him of those who would prey on them. Can idealism and capitalism coexist?...a warning to would-be inventors and creatives everywhere.

First off, I am a straight 50 yr old guy with 3 teenage daughters and I liked this movie. Although this dips into several genres and defies the cannon of vampire and werewolf myths, I loved the Beauty and the Beast coupled with the Romeo & Juliet feel. My suspicions as to why there are so many negative reviews is that there just aren't enough deeply emotionally driven stories out there. The crowd has grown soft with eye candy.
This story is mostly about the angst that exists in teens in general and specifically between Edward and Bella. Throwing the whole vampire thing at you and the fact that Bella just moved and is away from her Mom as well as that her Dad is the local Smoky, well, that would complicate the emotional roadmap for anyone.
The awkwardness of Bella is conveyed well and the whole high school feel of girl-guy paradigms seems spot on to me. I do wish that there was more effort to stick closer to at least some of the vampire myths (fangs or some form of grotesqueness, sensitivity to direct sunlight) (no sparkly vampires please) as I think it would have driven home both Edward's concerns for Bella's safety as well as Bella's unshakeable love for Edward not-to-mention it would have tracked better with audiences. Most people don't like their paradigms tested. This movie certainly does that more than most. But I for one was transported back to high school and re-experienced that pleasant pain that is young love.

Although I felt the acting, cinematography and score are good, the lack of plot continuity makes it very difficult to access emotionally. I suppose this would be seen as very artistic for the film professional or those who are tired for the sheeple food that Hollywood tends to produce, but in my mind this just goes too far.

Okay let's get this out of the way. First off, Kevin is kinda a knucklehead, but I can't help but relate to him. He expresses himself so openly and transparently that it makes me appreciate the child in us all. But Kevin Is also bold when he needs to be and willing to acknowledge his own shortcomings (albeit with the help of his soulful guardian). This is a quality I find severely lacking and not often addressed either in entertainment or real life. The producers are sending the obvious message of return to traditional family values vs let's just throw more grit and eye candy on the screen for the sheeple. It is a bold move, but I applaud it and look forward to any effort of its like.

This episode definitely resonates with the force. There were some comedic scenes that felt awkward at first until their purpose was revealed, but for the most part the story flowed well. I love the force conversations between Kylo and Rae. It brought a great dialog of perspectives into the mix that really increases tension while giving us a chance to feel these characters more deeply.
I give this 8 out of 10 due to some apparent plot holes and my issues with Leia's character, but overall this has all of the Star Wars elements I love...and then some!
