A complete waste of your time

Over dramatised, terrible writing, zero understanding to hospital day to day work. Oh and the pro-Nazi terrorist patient hates women too because it's the same..... awful!

absolute garbage - You'd expect this kind of tripe with an student film not a studio....

I really can't find anything good about this film. The point of the story and chosen characters is confusing and just weak. Michelle Rodriguez particularly is just annoying across the board with everything she says, acts and does. Though the whole cast isn't any good either including the AI computer. The prosthetics and make up are awful and where they were actually good they utilise no animatronics making the dogs especially just look like statues being thrown at the camera, the camera work and transition shots are really jarring, uninspired and weird, the dialogue , script writing and one liners just come across stupid and make it feel like the characters don't even know what they are doing or saying. Clearly money was put into the set production and some animation for this movie only. Whoever made some of the actual scenes and did the set design were clearly very good. Unfortunately that's all this film is; some good set design, everything else is just nothing coloured in. The only reason the film is even rated as a 6 out of 10 is purely out of the success of the video game itself. As a stand alone film it is just terrible. In addition as a pet hate......why does ' the box' have spirit levels????

The Horde (2016 Video)

A Rambo clone in the woods that likes to smack people in the face
24 August 2016
It appears to be the be first script that Paul Logan has written, which probably explains the excessive martial art fighting scenes involving himself and opportunities to take off his top! ha ha The horde was obviously made on a pretty small budget and considering this, I don't want to slam it too much. The movie as a whole is kind of weird mash up of Rambo, Universal Soldier and perhaps a pinch of Deliverance meets House of 1000 Corpses? As an intended horror, I don't think its particularly scary in any way but its got some good gore factor in there for you in that's your thing. The teacher to student talk about being a virgin was an obvious set up for a B movie unneeded gang rape which was pretty cringe worthy and I guess in place for the lack of frights to this movie. The story itself is pretty shaky and doesn't really develop past being in the woods and in danger. The direction of the stereotypical characters in scenes is not the best nor is the explanation for these weird people being in the woods doing what their doing in the first place. However, the whole point of this film is obviously to get to the kicking arse part of the movie where the Rambo type character of John Crenshaw gets to descend on the town, does his arse kicking and attempt to rescue his group. I would say that on a budget the SFX are actually pretty good surprisingly. It was worth a watch in short but it wont need a second viewing.

An entertaining and action packed film that was nothing special in it's idea
2 October 2014
I loved the alien concept and the fear of the destruction of the planet. Humans vs the invading forces, I will never tire of liking this thing kind of movie. However, come on! Yeah, he dies and wakes up again and again; yeah I get it but really how many times do you have to show that. That seemed to be the case for 95% of the film. It could have been executed a lot better if he'd died less and there had been more of an actual story to get involved in. The concept of defeating the alien mother to destroy all has been done before as well as the idea of waking up again and again to experience the same day. I don't feel 'Edge of tomorrow' brought anything new to the table at all in this relation except some upgraded special effects added into the mix. For me this film was entertaining while relaxing at home but but overall not a particularity great film. I'm happy to have seen it but won't be watching it again anytime soon.......
