Hot Rod (2007)
Let Down!
So I'm with my friends right, and they say they want to watch Hot Rod. I was pleased because I "thought" this movie was going to be sick. Although, from beginning to end, Hot Rod was a huge failure. In my opinion, the writer Brady really let down the crowd. Maybe not so much the writing but the lead character wasn't realistic and meaningful. Sandberg acted as if he was "acting" and not in the movie. In your next feature film, try method acting, play your role outside of your role. Although Brady is such a good writer with early South Park episodes and with Team America. This movie Hot Rod was just another one of those dumb comedies but really didn't reach it's potential. I'm sad to say, but Sandberd didn't fit the character because the writing for his acted personality wasn't enjoyable at all.
Tom yum goong (2005)
If you want whats taken from you, GET IT!
I was introduced to Tom Yum Goong also known as The Protector in the U.S. by my friend. He brought this movie to my house and introduced me to one of the most amazing martial artist I have ever seen, Tony Jaa. To say it simply, Tony Jaa is amazing and nothing less. Tony Jaa was a fiend for martial art films since he was a young child. He used to watch Jackie Chan and Bruce Li films and always go inspired by them. Well thankfully for martial art fans, he has made it HUGE in the business. Gaurentted, Tony Jaa will be one of the most amazing martial artists you will ever see.
The movie starts off showing the importance of the whole film. To Jaa's family in Thailand, the elephants are very sacred to the family. When Jaa and his grandfather attend a festival and their elephants get stolen, Jaa's attitude got heated and he started to not feel anything but hatred for these thieves.
The robbery of the elephants was for them to be cooked at an illegal restaurant in Australia. So Jaa goes to Australia and does his stuff. From kicking out a lightbulb 12 feet in the air to jumping through cars and fitting into small places, Jaa fights with his surrounding and wants to threaten his enemy at first look.
This film is an 11! Put this movie in your personal collection. A movie for the ages.
Bo bui gai wak (2006)
Jackie in a feature film with a baby, Get Ready!
People know Jackie Chan as Drunken Master. They know him as a crime fighting hero who always has to put the innocent before him. Rob B Hood is Jackie Chan as a robber who works with his partner and his boss. This movie was excellent from Jackie's amazing scenes to his amazing comedy in acting. After watching this film, I was stunned with how sad it mad me. To describe this movie very shortly is saying... ...imagine a world when Jackie Chan is an evil robber who turns into a caring person for a young infant. He has to "mother" to a young little boy with his crime committing friend. In the end, this film has a very good ending, not a pish posh ordinary one.
Reference: Check out the movie, Tsotsi. Rob B Hood and Tsotsi are very much alike with life growing experiences.
