Utter Netflix Garbage
29 September 2021
Ok, so Netflix is out to crap all over documentaries too. If you're going to include force feed people your stupid agenda, each and EVERY GODDAMN EPISODE, at least throw in some scientific facts too so the bad taste washes away. Utter garbage. Netflix killed documentaries too.

A rare 9 star from me!
4 February 2019
One look at my ratings/reviews, you'll see I'm not in the habit of either over or underrating titles, but this is a real gem.

I have no idea why it was cancelled, but it was a huge mistake. The general atmosphere is dark, cold and tensed and the plot is intriguing.

To be honest, I've never seen a series with so many WELL defined characters. "Joe 'Fish' Rinaldi" (Michael Mosley) is amazing! By far my favorite character in the show.

The only down side I see is that there are a few coincidences that just don't happen in real life (like the scene where the mom stops the car right next to Jablonski).

Anyway, the rest are praises for this show. I just devoured it. Too bad there's not a second season!

Dropped it after 20 minutes
4 February 2019
Netflix thought this was a 96% match for me and boy were they wrong. I don't know why they would think I'm interested in bad acting, bad directing and oh so garbage plot..

Honestly, the little kid is horrid. Her mom's acting is awful. 2 stars for grabbing JR Bourne, but man, let's be serious.. he's a glorified guest star / support actor.. he can't hold a whole series.

If only Netflix would refund the 20 minutes I lost watching this trash..

Falling Water (2016–2018)

Fallen TV show
23 January 2018
The premise of this show is interesting. That's why I decided to watch this. After the first episode, I manned up, and you seriously need to, and tried to watch another one.

It's a fail. It really is. It's slow paced, borderlining Tween Peaks (the new season) and just cannot grab your attention.

The writers tried to make it mysterious and once again failed. It gives you uninteresting crumbs and uninteresting questions that you really don't want to know the answer too.

Couple that up with the poor acting of a few from the cast and you got a disaster.

I can't believe someone really appreciates looong shots about nothing. You could sum up the whole first episode in 15 minutes. That means that they have 30 minutes of utter rubbish - 2 minutes filming how someone walks away, 5 minutes of some chick, who no one cares who she is, standing with her hands in the air and so forth.

It's trash.

Great series destroyed by the network
29 January 2017
What a great first season. It's edgy and keeps you wondering until the end. With a perfect cliffhanger ending, how can you not expect a second season?

Of course, amateurism runs Hulu and they took like 6 months to renew the show, then what did they do? Postponed the second act for March 2017 (first season kicked off in 2014).

Almost 3 full years for another season? Gonna predict this will be the final season of this great show - let's pause the show for 3 years, get everyone disengaged, lose a bunch of viewers, then cry about the ratings!

Way to Go HULU for bombing your own series.. your single good show! Retards.

Z Nation (2014–2018)

A mockbuster, sure. But it's a good warm-up for TWD.
16 September 2014
I had a run in with the guys from The Asylum a few years back. It wasn't nice and ended up with me calling them all sorts of names. Everything because they are up to no good, always piggy-backing on very good titles to get a handful of crumbs from the big table.

So I've seen half of an episode from Z-Nation (missed the The Asylum intro) and jumped on the web to see what people thought about it. That's when I found out it was made by those twats. Such a disappointment, but can't say I didn't enjoy it.

The general plot tends to continue where The Walking Dead left. It's nice to see a different approach. The acting isn't bad, and the FXs are pretty decent. For now at least.

People have to realize that The Asylum is a pathetic film studio, always looking to deceive and steal from others. I'm kind of ashamed to say this, even the English plague had one or two good effects. The same thing here..

.. Z Nation is decent. Z Nation is a good warm-up for The Walking Dead. Z Nation is a mockbuster / knockbuster.

Smells like propaganda, looks like teleshoping
9 June 2014
I love gathering facts about everything, through any means. This includes documentaries like this one.

I honestly was happy I bumped into it. Despite the name, which is so, so bad.. despite the graphics making it look like it was made in the 80s.. and even despite Jeff Johnson's annoying way of narrating this I truly enjoyed the first two episodes.

JJ's way of speaking, the graphics and the name of the show .. all make this look like a teleshopping program, minus the huge phone numbers at the bottom.

Now to get to the propaganda part. After the 2 episodes I've mentioned, I started seeing a pattern. Everything is invented in America. Even if it's not invented in America.. someone, somewhere in the US, 'innovated' the invention and the whole thing is presented like an American merit.

It may be awesome for some US citizens (though I've been talking with Americans and a great part of them agree with me), but if you're not an US native, you actually feel insulted.

I mean, let's be honest.. when you came so far as to say Chinese FORTUNE COOKIES were invented by Americans.. there's something wrong with the show.

If you watch it, please be so kind and count the things presented as being invented in USA. It's like 9/10.

Still waiting for the episode where they'll tell me how walking and hot water were invented in America.

WOW! I never knew everything was made in the UNITED STATES of America! One last thing. Though everything on this planet seems to be invented in America.. America itself was invented in Europe. ;)

The Following (2013–2015)

Off to a great start.. and a great deal of idiots..
22 January 2013
I'm going to make this special - 2 reviews in 1. The first will be about the actual series and the second about, well.. idiots.

First thing's first. It's certainly a great start - and I'm not talking just about the good, tragic, dramatic plot but the cast too. We all know that having Kevin Bacon in a movie is a great plus but having James Purefoy as the charismatic serial killer is absolutely amazing. The characters fit on Kevin and James like a glove and they, developing a "nemesis relation" really highlight one another.

The start of the series was off the charts, it was action filled, in a word - extraordinary! Half way through it, I immediately asked myself: How can they keep this up for at least a season?! The answer came in no time. Excellent! Now for the second part of the review. After delighting myself with this first take on "The Following", I jumped back here to see how many people felt just as excited about this new series as I was. Unfortunately, I immediately saw a great deal of idiotic, so-called reviews.

I feel I have the right to call them idiots for a simple reason. Through the magic of deduction, those who complained and rated this '1' read the description (at least the one here on IMDb). Now, I ask you this: You have to be an idiot to read "psychotic serial killer" in the plot and expect him to plant flowers and feed the children in Somalia, right? Damn right! I urge these people to go back either to "Lady and the Tramp" (which was good by the way).. or to those that paid for the disgusting reviews.

Final note: This review is posted after the 1st episode and my rating is 9/10. This will probably (hopefully not) drop as we advance into the story.

GREAT START!

After season 1 addition: Americans / Brits.. if you feel your cops are smarter than this, then.. you've been fooled by all the Sherlock Holmes movies. They are damn straight dumb, and they don't give a s*it about you.. just like in The Following.

Stay (I) (2005)
8/10
Many reasons to watch it, only one not to - idiocy !
22 April 2012
Warning: Spoilers
I'm not the one to use spoilers in a review, but in this case, I feel compelled to do so.

Reason? To show those idiots who rated -1- because of their own stupidity and lack of intelligence, my take on this movie.

"Stay", is an mind twisting piece, almost entirely set in a imaginary realm.

It starts off with Dr. Sam Foster (Ewan McGregor), a psychiatrist trying to save Henry Letham (Ryan Gosling) from himself. Slowly the fabric of reality degrades to the point where you don't know who is the psychiatrist and who is the patient.

A lot of other characters come into play, with specific lines and actions that will reveal their meaning at the end of the movie.

"Stay", keeps stacking up all these weird characters, without giving a real hint of what's to come.

As the movie pushes forth to the end, it all becomes clear (at least to those with a ounce of brain in their melon heads): The plot of this piece happened entirely in Henry's mind, while dying from the injuries caused by the car crash in which he was implicated. All the characters are people who witnessed the accident and who are watching how the real Dr. Sam Foster tries to keep Henry alive.

It wasn't so hard, was it? Of course this movie goes deeper in meaning. The guilt that Henry feel, because he was driving the car, the battle for life going inside his mind, etc.

There are many, many reasons to watch this movie, but there is only one reason not to - IDIOCY. If you can't understand it, you can't appreciate it.

This seemed to happen to a lot of "reviewers". A word for them? Yes! "I'm amazed you can at least write!" Over and out, Andrei

Similar to french cheese - it has a lot of holes and it stinks

Warning: Spoilers
-Mild Spoilers- Imagine a stupid gal. Not agoraphobic just plain stupid. She had it rough, she has a bag full of money and she refuses to get out of some luxury apartment.

She hasn't been seen for 12 years, she hasn't left the apartment during this time, yet in a few days she goes on strolls down to the bank to play the evil "dudess" in a completely failed finale for a completely failed movie.

People killing people without fear of obvious evidence left around. People changing identities like dirty socks. Stupid detectives that can't put 2 plus 2 together - what is this garbage? An epic fail! Over and out.

$3,000,000 spent on coffee for actors?
7 February 2011
Um..

Mediocre, dull and insulting. These are the only things I found throughout this movie.

Suspense was cut out in two parts. First - whether or not something is going to happen besides doors opening and closing. Second - the 30 seconds of black screen at the end, that makes you think "Hey, the action is starting now!".

Haven't seen the first Paranormal Activity but I rather pass. I got more suspense and thrill from the Discovery Channel TV show Haunted (which is also pathetic and fake) I do think those who rated this movie above 5 are payed to do so. There can't be so much mediocrity on this Planet.

I wish I had something more to write, but I don't. The movie didn't have something more to give.

Over and out, Andrei

The story of a virgin.
15 December 2010
Incredible. Seems like all the mentally challenged adolescents waited for this one.

A stupid marketing trick, for stupid people. The real story of this, movie (?) it that of a virgin dork, sick of playing with himself who takes up programming.

He does a good job, makes a site that attracts a lot of no life kids, then decides to use his money to get over the past experiences from high-school, by inventing a story about how he has a lot of foes.

I simply cannot understand what attracts people to this site, and this so called film.

Furthermore, I cannot understand how humanity can idolize a nerd, just for giving lame kids a chance to meet boys/girls.

Fabricated story, lame result.

If your IQ is over 50, you can't enjoy this trash.

Over and out.

The Prestige (2006)

First time in my life when I wished for a power failure.
1 November 2010
Warning: Spoilers
Great movie!!! .. or so I thought. Christopher Nolan is a good director. Not a great one, but a good director. This, and other works of his, prove that.

6/10 may be my fault since I raised my expectations quite high for this one. I heard about it, and decided to delight myself with a 'masterpiece'.

To be objective, the film could've scored 7-8/10, but only if there were a permanent power failure in the world and I wouldn't have seen the finale.

Tesla teleporting hats, cats and people for a living? Come on! That means that Friedrich Nietzsche was selling donuts to buy Jaguar wheels. That was disappointing.

I understand that film is 90% fiction, but Nolan, next time stay away from putting real (historical) figures do some fictional facts. Nobody likes it.

The other 99% of the movie, is filled with thrill, a great plot, some good situation turns and such.

I really couldn't say that I wasted 130 minutes of my life. I wasted only 5 with this movie. Even the credits were more interesting than the finale.

Tip: If you're reading this and planning to watch the movie, throw soda on your TV near the end, and don't buy a new one. That way you'll really like this movie! Over and out!

The Mist (2007)
9/10
Finally a deep horror movie!
27 August 2010
"The Mist" is full of substance, action, thrill, drama and reality. Though a sci-fi/horror movie, this title, unlike others in its genre blows a great hit on the human society.

It was not meant to be a film for shallow people, more for those who understand the real character of the human being pun under a lot of tension by an unexpected and unbelievable event.

Separating a micro-society and big-brothering is an old horror idea. Watching it fall apart under the veil of ignorance clouding a stressed mind, that is new.

The casting for this movie, the production, the filming, was done fast, but you'll not be able to notice it. No big goofs, no discontinuities.

Thomas Jane (David Drayton) plays an incredibly hard role filled with so many emotions. He does it unlike other actors I've ever seen. Terrible tough decisions, mental stress, fear, interior drama, all packed in a single character, a husband, a friend, a dad who has to hide all of them for the sake of his close ones.

The whole movie is great to watch and it's a great exercise if you're trying to find out how the human mind works.
