Mulan II (2004 Video)
3/10
Like a big joke
26 March 2005
Disney should stop making sequels. The originals work fine on their own. Most Disney sequels are terrible and are BIG disappointments to their predecessors. The only Disney sequel that wasn't really, really bad was Lion King II. This was like a big joke compared to the first one. There is nothing on this film that makes it stand out. This is OK if you just want to entertain kids, but that's about it. It'll just bring you a few laughs. Even the drawing looks like they were rushed. The characters were annoying, and the songs just passed you by. Disney should stop making sequels. This show is not worth getting, unless you're really intrigued about what happened to Shang and Mulan.

Mulan (1998)
10/10
One of the best animated movies out there
26 March 2005
Mulan is my favorite animated movie. This is a true Disney gem that a person of any age will enjoy. Disney has truly outdone itself this time, it's too bad that Disney doesn't make traditional musical films like this anymore. It has a good storyline that keeps the audience interested. The backdrops are wonderfully drawn. The songs are memorable and entertaining, plus they're sung by two very good singers: Lea Salonga and Donnie Osmond. I'm so glad they got Jerry Goldsmith to score this movie. It's music is definitely its best asset (with an academy award nomination at its belt). No animated movie has spent so much time on my cd player and on my VHS set. This cartoon is truly worth watching.

you can watch this over and over again
29 May 2004
The only problem with this movie that the plot is a bit implausible, but nevertheless, everything was great. I must say that I've seen this movie more times than any movie in the world and i still say it's great. It has a star-studded cast, and all of them did an excellent acting job (DiCaprio, Byrne, Malkovich, Depardieu and Irons). This is a perfect ensemble cast, it's as if the roles were written for the actors. The acting was just well done. The events are exciting and sometimes heart-wrenching, the music is great, and the dialogue is truly, truly exceptional. Trust me, after watching this movie at least 18 times, I've realized that the dialogue is just superb. I very much recommend the movie, however, the story is very, very far from the original book by Alexander Dumas.

What can I say but WOW!
20 August 2003
It may seem like a "just for kids" kind of show but I watch this one over and over again.

I can't say anything negative about Donny Osmond. His vocal power and his acting ability will just take you away. I've never been a fan of his work (except for one 'cause I must say he also did a great job as Shang's singing voice in Mulan) and even after watching this I still didn't go out and buy his album, but I really have to say I was so impressed with his performance here. These are my thoughts about Donny Osmond: he does a really incredible job when he sings songs for a role because he really adds passion to it(as you can also see in Mulan) but I'm not convinced when he just sings songs for an album.

Marie Friedman did a swell job as the narrator. Though she sometimes has trouble reaching her high notes, she has a powerful voice. She and Donny suit each other well. The other Narrators I've heard had tiny but irritating voices.

The over-all production was really cartoon-y, but it was great! It's a show that the whole family can watch. If you haven't seen it, I highly recommend it.

so far, this has the most humor of all the star trek films
13 May 2002
Compared to the other star trek films, this doesn't have much action, effects, and scenes that will excite you, but this has the most humor of all the star trek films. Spock is funny as he tries to understand human behavior and the crew as they try to find there way through 21st century America. Although you won't understand the humor in the movie if you don't know the background of star trek, this will certainly give some laughs to those who know Kirk and his crew.

the best star trek film i've seen so far
10 May 2002
I haven't seen all the star trek films but I've seen 5 out of 9 already, and so far, i have to say that Star Trek: First Contact is my favorite. It's amazing how they were able to come up with all these ideas. Even if sci-fi isn't your favorite genre, i think you'll enjoy this film.

Star Trek: Voyager (1995–2001)
a very, very good show for science fiction fans
10 May 2002
If you love science fiction, then voyager is for you. Before watching voyager, i thought that star trek was low and boring. Even after watching a couple of episodes, i still didn't like voyager, but after that voyager began to grow on me. I like science fiction, but I'm no trekkie, but after that I started watching other star trek shows and movies. Now, I already know a lot about the star trek universe, but I am not (and don't plan to be) a trekkie.

I think Voyager is very unique, just like all the other star trek shows. Its crew is very diverse. There are vulcans, humans, a talaxian, a former borg, an ocampan, a half-Klingon, each of them are different. I don't know about what the others think of this show, but I love this show.
