Star Trek: Picard: No Win Scenario (2023)
The ridiculous of the last two episode shows the problem of this season
Last episode a captain who is not critically injury and is able to talk and gives orders gives up his command to another captain that mislead him and basically stole the ship for personal gain. That is bad in of itself, but they lose power, and that same acting captain just gives up instead of working the problem until the last possible moment (also is this the only star ship ever that had only one shuttle and no escape pods).
Then there appears to be no chief engineer or a smart Vulcan apparently, so it is ridiculous that a doctor has to come up with an idea and somehow defines it as giving birth because of a countdown. So, I guess a countdown of a bomb is giving birth. Again no one in engineering knows a way to go about how to open, what is basically the hood, so they can get a jump start. But the most worthless part is that the holodeck is fully functional because it has a separate power source, which for unknown reasons it is the only system the ship cannot tie into, just so that in a "time of distress" like say a ship losing all power (excuse me MOST power) everyone can skip trying to save the ship and go and socialize.
The Fastest Woman on Earth (2022)
Female Evel Knievel
Nothing spectacular about this documentary. Made just like any other but it does add more to just being someone that was on Myth Busters for a short time. Which is how I knew her. I think the interviews were well done and the land speed footage was great. Thought the part about her wanting/needing/willing to start a family or whatever they were trying to say was a bit over the top. The part of Kitty O'neil was great and needs to be told on its own. The ending is what really makes this. We all know how it ends but I would say how they portrayed it but I was surprised how they did it when other documentaries might not have done it that way. So maybe this documentary was not like any other.
