Halloween (1978)
How can this be considered good
Sometimes I think that maybe I need explaining but here is not such a case
I just don't understand how can it be that this movie is considered a good movie
The acting is horenduous
The story is really bad and unimaginitive
The lighting
The camera operating
Everything is just so bad
How is it possible that he escaped from the mental instetution?
How come he knows how go drive? And at night, and find the town?
Why does he kill in the first place?
Why doesn't he die when stabbed or shot?
Why doesn't it amaze Laurie and Dr. Loomis that he doesn't die?!
Oh man the acting is so bad I don't even know how fo approach discussing it
But above all
How in the world was this ever consider good
So good in fact that many sequels followed
Very weird.
3:10 to Yuma (2007)
Doesn't work
I reckon there will be people who disagree with me
I consider myself pretty straight forward
And this movie makes absolutely no sense to me
Spoiler alert
Why, if he is a bad guy, does he go along with them?
Why is he running willingly through the roof tops?
Dan won't shoot him if he refuses, after all he has to get him to the train
Why does he cooperate so fully so many times?!
It just makes no sense to me
Why does he board the train by himself at the end
And then at the end again?!
How come no law men meet them at the train?!
Its very confusing
The acting by everyone is superb
The cinematography seemed lacking any meaningful significance - pretty regular
So was the editing
The explanation at the end for him not being stubborn but why was he doing this, was very weak for the plot, because it really didn't make sense why would he risk his life and the life of his family to such an extent for 200 dollars. Yeah I know it was a lot then but who cares if you die
Maybe it would have helped if it was explained in the begining, but still it us a very weak reason.
The plan or more correctly lack of a plan to just get out of the hotel room at the end and start walking towards the train station and not get killed on the way was pretty much the dumbest thing they could have ever done
I say "they" cause they did it together
Why did they do it together?!
Why didn't wade resist?!
Very wierd
Made no sense
Just a dumb incoherent movie
And his gang and all the other people that jumped to the rescue of Wade could have easily shot Wade countless times.
I don't get this movie at all.
Bigfoot 101 (2022)
Changed my life
I was once told by a theatre director that a good play is a life altering experience.
Well this show has changed my life.
I like telling people that the reason I'm so drawn towards David Paulides is because he's so boring. And what I mean by that, is that he's meticulous, fact based way of relaying information to you is completely opinion free and if he even "sins" by sharing an opinion he sums it up by stating "opinion".
Can't per-se claim to have been a non believer of bigfoot before watching this but I think you have to be a complete blank person to not drink this cascade of information and come out dry at the end.
I can honestly say that I am not a believer but you just can't be a believer of somethinfg that you know exist.
Perfect, drawing, mezmerizing, eye opening teaching of a subject.
Highly recommended.
Summit Fever (2022)
A bad movie
I think this movie is just, simply a bad movie. There's almost nothing about it which is good. Most of the acting is mediocre to bad, the dialogue is really bad. Really really bad. There are a few shots edited during intense scenes that are actually really good but don't let this kind of statement attract you into watching this, we're talking halves of seconds here. There is a moment in the movie,
Spoiler alert
at night, during a storm that a black figure is mimicing and then approaching our protagonist - a moment that was actually very scary and very unclear - like it was cut from a horror movie, but it had no payoff and it didn't fit.
All and all a waste of time.
Hawkeye: Never Meet Your Heroes (2021)
Why? Honestly
I feel it's not entirely fair of me to judge after watching only one episode, maybe I should write another one after the sixth but... Here I go
Hawkeye to me was never an interesting character, he's just human with no powers at all, why is he here? But whatever they made a show about him, I'll give it a shot - and then I watch said show, and it's not about him, not entirely, the scenes with him are endearing actually, they are interesting, and I wish there were more, and there are more scenes about a girl, a lass, with a story that so far is not interesting at all, definitely not compared to the source of this whole franchise, and then she just completely randomly happens to stumble upon his ronin costume, unbeknownst to her or anybody in the whole world that that was once donned by Clint, and the worst part of all, which is horrendously bad is that she starts fighting men that are much stronger than her and she defeats them, relatively easily - how in the world is she capable of doing that?!?! One punch out of those and I'd be incapacitated for the remaining of that day at the least. Complete nonsense - really made me take a step back - hope the rest redeems this very poor beginning.
Nope (2022)
Really really awesome
I scanned through a few comments first and were all negative. I honestly don't understand you people. Are you negative in nature?! This movie is amazing. Refreshing, inventive, unexpected, original, smart, thought provoking, utterly terrifying, gripping, ,shot beautifully, intriguing, moving, exciting, genuinely funny at times, terrifying, and a woah of an experience. I wrote terrifying twice on purpose. Its a simple story in a way, that is done perfectly and honestly, no bullsheeting around, just honest storytelling. No Holywood's-everything's-explained-and-presented-on-a-silver-platter-for-you-to-digest. The characters are driven the story forwards - all the characters, even that one, again I just don't understand the haters, it's beyond me.
Prey (2022)
Should have been in Comanche
The first is a master piece, if not for anything if not for it's chance to surprise us at any turn cause we're virgins to this world.
All the sequels tried to do certain things to enrich this for us and succeeded here and there and failed here and there.
I think there's a good reason why this movie doesn't have the word "predator" in it's title - cause in a way This movie stands for itself. Had you watched the previous ones you would gained or at least have a notion of what is to come, but they'll depended on what we already know - this however achieved something none of the others managed.
I remember when seeing "Predators" how I felt bumbed that they didn't name it something else so that we wouldn't have known what the hell is going on - and I know it might have not succeeded as it did in it's first week and that's of-course what Hollywood is firstly about - money making.
And here you can give this to a young fresh audiance and they will have genuine honest story about a woman wanting to prove herself as a hunter and the game she'd chosen. Hell of a story - emotional. The first one with emotions after the original.
The only thing I have to say to the negative - and it really bumbs me - is the fact that they speak English. Its pathetic. Why do the french speak french?! Its suppose to be a movie in Comanche!
47 Ronin (2013)
Why in English?!
This is my first review ever. I started watching and endured for about half an hour and then turned it off. I just couldn't stand it any longer. A story that happens in Japan, where all the characters are japanese, except one, all the actors are Asian, except one, and everyone are conveying in English. Pathetic. Don't know if it's a good movie or not, just couldn't keep watching - just pathetic. And very dishonoring of the language of the culture.
