Elton John Live: Farewell from Dodger Stadium (2022)
Loved this Elton John Gift To My Fans
I'll never quite get the world of superstars like Elton John, especially how different their life is from mine. Still, for the time Elton John is performing I appreciate how he gives his all to entertain me. He has sized up what will keep me watching and grateful enough to put it into words. The Grammy that this musical special just won is very fitting- so glad this fellow is an EGOT. Encountering the relationship that the devoted fans have with Elton John was touching as this is not part of my experience- this hero fealty. Not sure I could ask for anything more or different in this production.
The Con (2020)
Good watching - especially Whoopi's narration
This is a well done series that Kay's out how people have been conned is various ways. It's very insightful and helpful for all of us to learn how seemingly intelligent con-proof people get sucked in. The variety of cons ranges from the well known ones like the college entrance one to ones like the psychics that prey on vulnerable people. The amount of money involved are also mind-boggling. People paying thousands for worthless baubles they have been told will fight curses and defeat evil illustrates the desperation of people being conned. The shows also reveal how the con artists are ultimately brought down, sadly often after the money is gone.
