Black Noise (2023)
Worth a watch
The performances are commendably strong for a budget-conscious production, with the cast bringing a sense of camaraderie and determination that resonates well with the movie's adventurous spirit.
The island setting, though not extravagantly portrayed, is used effectively to create a sense of isolation and suspense. Overall, Black Noise is a good pick for those looking for an action thriller that offers a straightforward, enjoyable viewing experience without the frills of higher-budget productions. I
t's a testament to what can be achieved with limited resources and a creative approach. Give it a go it's still a watch from me.
Òran na h-Eala (2022)
What an experience
The musical score was simply splendid, and the characters were brought to life vividly. Shannon Davidson did a marvellous job embodying the radiant beauty of Moira Shearer. Though it was a brief film, the complexity and skill involved in its creation cannot be overstated, and I'm thoroughly grateful to filmmakers like Steve Exeter for their contributions to this captivating narrative that intertwines art and life. "The Red Shoes" remains a timeless masterpiece, and "Òran na h-Eala" serves as a beautiful reminder of its enduring charm.
The director and everyone involved displayed remarkable talent. I encourage everyone to watch and support films of this calibre. Hollywood would greatly benefit from more productions like this.
