A Lifelong Love (2023)
A waste of a good premise
I love these types of movies but honestly, it was very poorly cast and directed. There wasn't much chemistry with any of the cast. It seemed as if they just pull these people off the street. I don't think I've ever given a back review but as much as I had waiting in much anticipation, it couldn't be over fast enough. The scenes from the past weren't congruent with the present, either. The woman and the man weren't old enough to have been of age in the 50's. It was just unbelievable from beginning to end. To be technical, the lighting wasn't realistic either. I didn't feel any passion or chemistry from the leading man, who o didn't find right at all for the part. I wish this had been finessed, it could have been a very sweet movie.
Pearson (2019)
Wonderful and sexy
I waited every week for 7 years to watch Suits and was upset when Jessica left the show. When they decided to have a spin off called Pearson, I was excited beyond belief. I was angry they didn't have more than on season. Jessica is one of the sexiest best dressed women to have ever been on TV, since the glamours days of the studio reign. Jessica is smoking beautiful and although I'm not a fashionista, I know beauty when I see it. This show was all about her and they did an amazing job on making her the key focus. I wish that sometimes networks would keep striving to grow a show instead of cutting it loose because a critic decided they don't like something and the network capitulates to their every whim. Look at Will and Grace or Golden Girls. Sometimes you have to give a show at least two season to prove their worth. It's definitely a show worth watching.
