This wasn't an adaptation I was particularly excited about but it still somehow managed to disappoint me, thanks to some theatre kid level acting and writing rivalled only by alpha builds of chatGPT.
The script is all around weak to say the least except for a couple lines that made me sniff out air and that callback to the iconic intro. On top of that, it gets dragged down even more by the cringe inducing performances. Aang and iroh, while being the only two who looks the part, are the worst offenders of this and feel like completely different characters.
Only Sokka and Gyattso had any bearable acting chops and even the former had one scene on par with The Room that made me cackle in middle of what's supposed to be the biggest tragedy of the show.
Other than that, the CGI even though not quite realistic, looks expensive and is pretty detailed. The sets have some effort put into it. The bending here is taken straight out of the movie that also doesn't exist.
