Nguoi Vo Cuoi Cung (2023)
not a well thought out directing and producing.
As a Viet live abroad, I was so excited to see a Vietnamese movies on Netflix. I could not pass 15 minutes because of minor thing that are over looked. To make a quality movies, you have to get every little details correct, and accurate. The main actress while doing a terrific job, but has southern accent. Mean while every one else in the movies setting was speaking in Northern accent. Major misinform facts. This is the director mistake. He could demand the main actress speak in Northern accent and it would be bearable to watch. And the Executive producer? Who are they? And let this slide? Probably not a Viet live abroad person to go along with this madness. I'm sorry, but I give it a 4 stars at best.
A Tourist's Guide to Love (2023)
Beautiful set up and accurate pictures, very well done film
A Tourist's guide to love is a light hearted movies, it reflects the real culture of Vietnam. There are many facts about Vietnam that the movies set got it down to the T. Bravo for production team. Five stars for the Tet's flower scene. It got my attention right away. The movies show case the beautiful culture of Viet nam, it got the crossing roads anxiety perfect, the bargaining in the markt scene just as good as in real life. It's a beautiful part of shopping in Vietnam. That's how they live. The cyclo tour was nostalgic, so beautiful. The meals on the floor, the new year's food. I loved it. The casts were brilliant. The all were very excellent in their characters. Rachel Leigh Cook couldn't be any prettier in her character, fresh wide eyes. The tour guy Sinh was interesting. The story plot is light hearted, it was meant to be that way, I say this because I saw previous reviews stated that the plot needs improvement. No needs to, it's a tourist story and it's a light heart story. I thought it was a very well done film. Thank you! And a perfect ten for production team. Good job, Excellent job. I'm a Vietnamese live in America, and I really love this movies. I will recommend it for my coworkers to watch, and proudly stated that this is my culture, my home country. The movies bring a sense of home to me. Over the years, the sceneries have changed but the people are the the same, very friendly, very hospitable to visitors, very down to earth kind of people. Overall, a five stars movies, it portraits every facets of Vietnamese people and culture, a friendly yet mysterious land and is hard to understand from a tourist point of view, and it's inviting for one to come and discover, and experience our way of life.
