Nice.

I watched it because I was intrested in Julia Stiles as a director/writer. I haven't seen Paloma (the web series on WIGS) that she also wrote for and directed so this was my first film with her as a director and writer. I was very pleased with how the movie was shot and filmed, I thought the writing was sharp and well thought of. The movie in itself, since it's only 20 minutes feels a tiny bit rushed towards the end but other than that I don't see whats the problem for everybody leaving bad reviews... The story of course isn't a live changing one but considering this as Julia Stiles first writing/directing credit I don't understand why people have to be so harsh. Not everything you do as a well known person needs or actually can be the best work you ever done and of course there will be better shortfilms done by people that have done this since forever ? I don't understand why a young actress isn't allowed to try out stuff without being bashed for not creating the most relevant piece of work ever. This movie is as another reviewer said a solid character study shot in very clever well thought way with intelligent dialogue and you can clearly see the choices that have been made artisticly. Zooey Dechanel does a great job as well and all in all this is a nice SHORT FILM showing a piece out of the many many different faces of New York City live.

So I don't know what's there to complain about. 8/10.

One of Julia Stiles best works.

This show is awesome.

So calm in its tone and visuals yet so dramatic in its storyline.

Thank God Julia Stiles had the chance to show what a god damn fantastic actress she is in this.

There is one scene that particular stuck with me, where she just shows how awesome she is at really getting, really becoming the character she is portraying, showing at least 5 very different emotions in a matter of only seconds and she does it U N B E L I E V A B L Y well. I was mindblown.

The only 'negative' thing that comes to mind is that the storyarch concerning Blues sister and her girlfriend has very very long scenes of singing in bars in it which I found a bit unecessary and skippable.

But all in all great show.

10/10 for Julia.

It takes some time to really get into it, the first few episodes are mostly superficial but solid fun, but if you keep watching the characters get more depth to them and you get sucked into the characters and their backstories. I loved the end which made me wanna watch season 2 really badly, very exited to see whats going to happen then :) Julia Stiles is being awesome and beautiful as ever and everybody else is doing a fantastic job portraying lovable, relatable characters. Obviously everybody is portraied insanenly exaggarated and ridiculous but that is what makes this show a really lovable one.
