Drastic Measures (2020)

Umm... Is this for real? Slight spoiler

I don't even know where to start. The acting is atrocious. The story is so dumb. No one in real life would act or talk the way they do in this. So, you get a flat tire and just leave? Don't even check for a spare? Haha. Oh my gosh, the writing is horrendous. And don't get me started on the fight scenes. I'm 5'3 @ 107 pounds and could take both those men down by myself. It's straight up laughable. And just when I thought there might be a twist, it just got more and more stupid.

I did watch to the end because I had to find out if it was really as bad as I was thinking. I would be embarrassed if my name was on this film. AVOID!!!!!!!

Those Who Wish Me Dead (2021)

Disappointing

The acting was cringeworthy at times. Dialogue is extremely predictable. Jon Bernthal was the saving grace. The kid was good, too.

I get tired of the unnecessary overuse of the F word. Saying it just to say it. It's very distracting, especially when you have a young boy say it, too. It gets so old!

Side note: anyone, ESPECIALLY the wife of a deputy, would know you use a shotgun for self defense. Or a handgun. Like seriously, it's so annoying. At least be somewhat realistic.

The ENTIRE movie was predictable and some scenes were just a little too much. Could have been a lot better if they didn't "Hollywood" it so much. I rated it 5 stars bc the location was beautiful, and it held my attention.

Cringe worthy at times

Just being upfront, I don't like completely unrealistic movies that are meant to be realistic. I can't get past it.

So when the guy gets released from prison, and I watched the car ride back to civilization, I almost turned it off. It looked like a cartoon in the background! So bad.

The whole movie is extremely predictable. The writing is horrible. There are several scenes that are straight up laughable.

I will say the acting is okay, especially from Ving. If it wasn't so stupid, I think the acting was fairly decent all around. (I'm not including those dumb detectives). They were so ridiculous!

I'm rating 2 stars, instead of 1, because I didn't fall asleep and actually finished the movie. Although, I'm not sure why.
