Oppenheimer (2023)
One of the best movie experiences of my life
In simple words, Christopher Nolan is THE GOAT... Oppenheimer reaffirms it again. With each film in his filmography, he has established himself as one of the best directors in the industry. Each new work surpasses its predecessor. This film is the synthesis of what Nolan is himself, cinema.
3 hours of film that go by in an instant. From the first minute the plot grabs you and doesn't let go until the black screen appears that signs the creator of the wonder that our eyes have just witnessed.
Let's talk about another kind of magic in the movie. An acting chair for the entire cast. Cillian Murphy and Robert Downey Jr straight to the Oscar. Allow me the comparison, but it is as inevitable as the creation of Oppenheimer himself. The rest of the cast, exactly the same. Each one appears at their opportune moment and gives their best to complete the work.
What else can we talk about? The musicalization in absolute harmony with each scene, the narrative as impeccable and captivating as only Nolan knows how to do it and each frame teleports you to the historical moment that it shows you.
Oppenheimer is one of the greatest movies I have ever seen and it has given me a cinematic experience that I will never forget. For someone like me who loves movies so much, Christopher Nolan's Oppenheimer is the most comforting caress to the soul.
The Flash (2023)
Just enjoy the movie!
Well, it is a film on which the public has deposited many expectations. Some have been overcome and others have not. That doesn't make it a bad movie at all. It is not his fault that he cannot satisfy every longing of the viewers. So it's a good movie and that's all. A comic story, moments of impressive action, emotion that silences the room, madness of the good, nostalgia that moistens the eyes and an ending with a farewell flavor. But a farewell with a bright dawn. On balance, a good movie, with flaws that don't counterbalance all the good it has. So watch it and enjoy it. Don't be so hard on her.
Succession: With Open Eyes (2023)
Day 1 after Succession
I appreciate having been a contemporary of this television series. Never before has a fiction managed to make me connect so much. Worthy, perfect and heartbreaking closing for what is without a doubt the best series in the history of television. Each of the characters completing their story arc. Tragedy, loss, new beginnings, repeated mistakes, grudges and revenge. All this in an hour and a half that puts the finishing touch to a story that has captivated me for years, Sunday after Sunday. A great emptiness and a feeling of enormous satisfaction is all I have left. We are on day 1 of the rest of our lives... the rest of our lives without Succession...
Succession: Connor's Wedding (2023)
The best episode of a series in the history of television
One word: shock. Completely unexpected each event within the chapter. A glass of cold water on emotions. Each scene is so incredibly tense that it ends up infecting the viewer. Impeccable performances. It is impossible to put into words all that the 61 minutes of the episode provoke. In one sentence, we will all remember where we were the day Logan Roy died. We all knew that the giant was going to fall this season, but it didn't just start. Surprisingly unexpected. You can feel the heavy air, the Waystar Empire shaking, and the impending power struggle coming your way. The king is dead and power-hungry hyenas are on the prowl. In short, Succession has achieved something incomparable and impeccable from every point of view. There are 7 electrifying episodes left to bring a worthy end to the best series in the history of television.
