Hagane no renkinjutsushi: Mirosu no seinaru hoshi (2011)
Great, but felt like something was missing
FMAB is my favorite anime series of all time, and was absolutely ECSTATIC when I found out there was a movie to the series. I watched it, and I thought it was good, but there was something missing. First off, there were no instances of an Ed short rant (ex. WHO YA CALLING A PIPSQUEAK?!?!) and I don't think there were any comedy parts. Second, I have trouble figuring out when exactly this is supposed to take place. I know it takes place after Ed and Al find out the truth about the Philosopher's Stone, but there really aren't any other clues to when in the series it takes place in. However, the plot was good, and I loved the new characters. To say the least, it was a good movie.
Hagane no renkinjutsushi (2009)
Amazing anime!
Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood is what got me into anime in the first place. My (now ex) boyfriend got me into this series while we were dating, and was very impressed with the series. Vic Mignogna was absolutely phenomenal as Edward Elric, and he really captured the character really well. The jokes were hilarious (including all of Ed's short rants), and the series itself was very moving. I'm not one of those people that cry during movies and TV shows, but I came extremely close to crying during this series. I highly recommend this series to any anime fan, and to anyone who wants to get into anime.
Splatoon 3 (2022)
Best Splatoon game to date!
Splatoon 3 is, without a doubt, the best game in the Splatoon series. This game has new mechanics to the beloved Turf War game, the best plot in the series, and the DLC did not disappoint, even though it's only halfway released so far. For those of you who like listening to video game music, this game has the best soundtrack in the series. The new idol characters are amazing as well. I love the idea of having three Splatfest teams rather than two, what the previous two games did. The themes for the Splatfests up until now have been very creative, and the Tricolor Turf War mode is a lot of fun to play. Would definitely recommend this to any Splatoon fan, old and new.
Fire Emblem: Engage (2023)
Amazing, but frustrating plot
Fire Emblem: Engage is a really good game, however has a frustrating plot. First, the main character, Alear, collects six of the Emblem rings, only for them to be lost to Sombron, the antagonist of the game. Later in the game, a character that the protagonists thought was a traitor, was actually being mind-controlled, and being manipulated to hinder Alear's progress. Even later in the game, Alear obtains all 12 of the Emblem rings, including the ones stolen earlier, only for all of them to be taken AGAIN, and Alear is killed in the process of protecting another character. However, the Emblems decide to revive Alear with their power. Truly, this is an amazing game, and is one of my favorite Fire Emblem games (losing to Three Houses and Awakening), but the plot is not very forgiving. But the attachments to the characters, both old and new, made it all worth buying the game. I would recommend this game to fans of the series.
Generator Gawl (1998)
Love this show!!
If you have been thinking about watching this show, please do not hesitate in doing so! This show is incredibly funny, while also showing great fight scenes in each episode. It's only about 12 episodes, so if you do want to watch it, it's not an insanely long series, so you could probably finish it in a day or two. Vic Mignogna was absolutely HILARIOUS as Gawl, and his voice acting was on point in the more serious scenes. Loved the story line of the show, and I never saw the plot twist coming. I think this series is one of the most underrated anime series of all time, and I highly recommend it to any anime fan.
