an epic movie leaves you speechless it is that brilliant best film of the decade by far
20 July 2008
Warning: Spoilers
this film is simply the greatest superhero film ever in my mind it will never be beaten it was just off the charts leaves you so amazed i thought batman returns was dark but this is far darker Christoper Nolan has taken batman to a new level he's taken it way further than Burton or Schumacher ever did he's gone into the soul of batman and i like it Christan bale has done it again just brilliant as batman Aaron eckhart just superb a million times better than tommy lee Jones as two face appearance bloody awesome but the man of the hour was heath ledger as the joker in my view the greatest villain of all time so cold, so dark so bloody serious went so deep into the joker showed us why he is a total psychopath jack Nicholson didn't even scratch the service with his version of the joker this film is the best of the decade you want to find an icon of this decade than look no further than heath ledger rest in peace you put a smile on my face for sure again this film is totally epic go and see it now you hear me NOW!!!!

an excellent film with superb acting and a very clear warning about how easy it is to fall into big brother state
21 June 2008
Warning: Spoilers
this film is nothing short of being excellent i enjoyed it so much Hugo weaving as v was just brilliant his dialogue was brilliant and he just made the character so good he is not good (from his actions to eve in the middle of the film) but he is not evil (as his actions show) portman was great as eve, Stephen fry as always great, john hurt excellent as sutler really made it his own, Stephen reas excellent as the detective reminded me of john thaws as inspector Morse and i really like the guy who played Mr creedy i mistake him for lord Beckett's assistant and assian from pirates (they sound so alike) everyone in the film was great another great work from the guys behind the matrix but the one scene i must say really caught my attention was the varlie scene the gay woman who suffered so badly at the hands of sutlers government it made me realise for the first time in my life how hard it must have been for my sister (who is gay herself) to come out and say she was gay to my parents it really opened my eyes and i have found a new understanding for my sister and for people who are gay (not that i hated them before its just i had mixed feelings on it) but anyway an excellent film and a stern warning to teach us never to fall to being a big brother state ever

brilliant film bale gives one of the best film performances ever
25 February 2008
Warning: Spoilers
excellent film that is one of the best and in my view realistic horror films you could ever see all actors were very good Willem dafore as the detective very good and the other yuppies good as well but the performance of Christian bale was one of the best ever the guy is a superb actor who really prepares for his role and preforms them to the best he can and this simply was brilliant in my view Patrick batemen is the prefect killer because he is smart, attractive, covers his tracks, has powerful friends around and just doesn't look like he would kill people again like i said a brilliant film with one of the best film performances ever

one of the best animated series ever made
15 February 2008
Warning: Spoilers
this animated series is exactly spot on with Batman the voice acting is superb with Kevin Conroy as batman excellent mark hamill as the joker so excellent in my view his best line is in the last laugh when he says "ok boys its play time" i kept saying that for days afterwards Richard moll as two face superb, Paul Williams excellent as the penguin, and the woman who does catwoman as well as the rest of the cast excellent voice acting excellent the episodes are dark, well written, filled with realism, great plot twists and with excellent lines my favourite episodes are two face part one and two, the joker episodes and heart of ice which remains the only cartoon episode that has made me cry it really was excellent and reinvented Mr freeze into a character who is tragic and someone you feel sorry for this series is a triumph for animation you can't hate it in any way

funny and good but some letdowns
29 January 2008
Warning: Spoilers
i think that this is one of the best things the family guy team have done they have done good with this but i feel they were disrespectful to star wars in some ways for example they replaced many of the best and funniest jokes with humourless and tasteless jokes which annoyed me because the quotes are what i loved about the original trilogy i hated the way stewie portrayed darthvader making him stupid and rubbish in my view very disrespectful to the real Darth Vader who in my view is one of the best movie villains of all time and stewies Vader was far from the evil Vader we know and love i liked Chris a Luke funny and acting exactly , like Luke did in the films the same for peter as Han, loris as Leia, Brian as chewbacca and Hebert as obi wan was my favourite character out of the episode funny as hell plus the other characters were good as well and another criticism of the episode is that they mixed up some of the scenes as star war fans will notice but in my view a funny and great episode of family guy

Al Pacino best film and my second favourite of all time
16 November 2007
Warning: Spoilers
there's only one word for this film brilliant Al Pacino as the legendary Tony Montana who is ruthless, crazy and funny all at the same time some of the lines he says are just amazing (say goodnight to the bad guy and the brilliant say hello to my little friend which both were taken by Scott Hall in his Razor Roman gimmick in WWE) Manny is great as well being Tony's number two guy, Elvira is really good being a long sufferer of cocaine abuse this is a superb film from the legends oliver Stone and Brain DePalma which the best thing about this film is that its a very realistic view on the drug trade in Miami as it is violent, dirty and greedy i will write off saying this is Al Pacino best film and my second favourite of all time (only the Star Wars series beat it)

a masterpiece in its own rights
15 November 2007
Warning: Spoilers
i love this film the songs in it are brilliant it is very dark at times i.e. the part where Pinocchio turns back into a puppet puppetino is very creepy in this scene with that laugh of his and the part the land where dreams come true where the emperor of the night is superb (with James earl Jones voicing him) these scenes are what i always remember about the film but what the film is trying to tell us is that we should never take the freedom we have for granted or else we might lose it and become mere puppets like the ones in the film the animation might not be pixar class but they were good for its time and like i said i believe that this film is a masterpiece in its own right and not a Disney rip off

excellent action, dialogue brilliant, soundtrack excellent my third favourite of all time
29 August 2007
Warning: Spoilers
i loved this film and volume 2 to bits its just brilliant (im reviewing both movies here)the action is done to perfection, all of the actors are great in my view this is uma Thurman's best film as she is brilliant and clever at the same time , David Carradine is brilliant as bill, Daryl Hannah as Elle driver excellent her rivalry with kiddo is excellent, witty and funny, Michael madsen as always really good Quentin really knows how to use him, Lucy liu as o-ren is great as she plays someone you have sympathy for considering her childhood and finally Gordon liu as pai Mei was brilliant as he is so well skilled and treats be like a dog (the bit where he puts his fist though the plank of wood makes me jump every time i see it) overall its a excellent film with some of the finest action and dialogue i have ever seen in a film.

a masterpiece and probably Stanley Kubrick's best film
29 August 2007
Warning: Spoilers
a brilliant film one of my favourites of all time and Malcolm McDowell performance being one of the best ever really played the role of Alex with perfection, the film has such clever dialogue and amusing scenes (like the the singing in the rain scene i tell you i keep singing that song because of the film) and performances from Micheal bates as Chief Officer Barnes, Aubrey Morris as Mr Deltoid and Miriam Karlin as the Catlady (miss weathers). but the thing about the film that strikes me the most is that it feels like Anthony Burgess (the writer of the book) went to the future though a time machine and saw the UK as it is today and created the film to show a warning of what the future as going to be like. Stanly Kubrick i felt did brilliant on the film and its one of if not his best films the way he and the composer used the Ninth Symphony by Ludwig van was genius it really was brilliant the was they used it you have to admire that

i will write off saying its one of my favourite films and it will always be in my favourite list

family guy is genius in its own rights
7 August 2007
family guy is excellent as it does some really funny bits like take the Micky out of star wars so many times (to add to that Seth is a star wars fan as you don't reference star wars as much as he has without being a fan of the show) peter is funny in his own right especially when he is being sexist, loris is great much better than Marge from the Simpson's who has weird hair and talks like something from star trek, meg is a bit annoying but i love it when they make fun of her and blame her for everything, Chris is a little slow but is funny with that voice by Seth green (funny guy) stewie is brilliant, witty, funny and is brilliant with Brian who is my favourite character as he is sarcastic, takes advantage of stewie and his love for Loris is really funny as you wonder is it ever going to happen (porbably not but it would be funny if it did happen) other characters like quagmire, Cleveland and Joe are funny, good and make the show more interesting i think family guy will go on to outlast the Simpson's in production as they can get away with a lot more than the Simpson's can but family guy is genius in its own right and people who criticise it are jealous of its successes and that its own or favourite shows are becoming more rubbish i.e. the Simpson's and south park

Great movie goofy funny which was a surprise
6 August 2007
the movie was really good the effects amazing you have to give Michael Bay and Steven Spielberg credit for that they could not have done this movie five years ago the plot was good very understandable with laughs and loads of action you don't feel like you have been in the cinema for 2 1/2hours after you have seen this film.

also for someone like me who has never watched the cartoon series and buy any of the toys to come out of this movie impressed that in my view is a job well done by Michael Bay and Steven Spielberg who i think have really out done themselves with this film that also not a small achievement considering their already great achievements i can't wait for the sequels which with more money in the budget will be just as great or even better than this film

the Simpson's a shadow of itself
6 August 2007
Warning: Spoilers
the Simpson's once a brilliant show with genius comedy now a ghost and shadow of itself i mean who wrote this movie which i thought was a disgrace and so undeserving to bear the name of the Simpsons the 11 best writers they had (half good like Mirken, Vitti, Meyer Reiss and jean) and half rubbish "the newer writers" (mike Scully executive producer of the show from season 9-12 Matt Selman and Ian Maxtone-Graham the tall one who never even watched the show before joining) i think not. They have missed Greg Daniels (who is still doing king of the hill) Bill Oakly and Josh Weinstein and also Conan O'Brien since they left and should have got them back for the movie plus i really miss Phil Hartmen who did Troy McClure and Lional Hutz they have really missed him since he died.

now on to the movie the plot was rubbish and lazy they used bits from old episode's which hardcore fans will recognise and the use of secondary characters was shocking in my book how can you have a Simpson's movie without Mr Burns doing something evil and other good characters like Barny, Moe, Wiggen and Apu having a part in the plot as they are the funniest characters on the show along with homer who is so unfunny apart from the beginning when pointing at you the true sucker paying £6 to watch this rubbish Marge was nag, nag, nag for gods sag Homer hit her that would amuse me Lisa bring boring boring get a life you geek and Bart are you on drugs wheres the rebel Bart from the early seasons who was at least half funny then and not trying to suck up to Ned Flanders who has been rubbish since they killed off Maulde Flanders

to sum this up Matt Groening if your reading this which you are not stop being in denial about the shows decline and do the decent thing and end the show before it slips any further down the line
